I have the latest brochure and the PM4044muzzle area is pretty much square. The only PM like this one is the PM45.
The new brochure is nice -- pdf at Kahr Arms / Online Resources.

I bought my PM40 about 16 mos ago and have the same style slide. Never realized the site pics were different.. I love it..

There's a Stainless PM40 on Gunbroker right now with the beveled slide. I see no rhyme nor reason for the seemingly random samples out there.

Where did you go to look up the production date of your gun? I just picked a used gun and I'm interested in the age.

I found mine by looking at the envelope spent casing was in. It's printed on envelope. There is also a serial number list here. Find one close to yours and you'll have a general idea.

After embarrassing myself trying to take my PM9 apart, I took the manual out of its niche and there was an envelope with the spent casing and the date of the test firing on the envelope. Behind the Manual.
