Default T9 and Novak sights

I just purchased a T9 and I've never had a gun with Novak rear sight before. I find it odd the way it looks and want to ask if this is normal:

The sight fits the dovetail rather loose (free sliding). When I tighten down the set screw, it tightens against the bottom of the dovetail it raises the sight up off the top of the slide about 1/32". As I continue to snug the set screw down, the left side of the sight rises higher than the right, making the sight picture pretty wacky.

Is this normal, or is it possible that the wrong sight was included? I would hate to think that the dovetail is mis cut ... I can test that with a rear sight that I replaced off of my MK9. All of these are new style slides ... maybe I have an old style sight with a new slide??!

grasping for an explanation,
Brian

I think Kahr got a bad batch of T9 slides, where EVERYTHING is out of spec.
Call them up and get a Fed-Ex label to send it back.
