Does anyone else wonder how much money would be saved if junk mail were banned!? How many trees, ink/toner, etc? But then again, USPS would be even worse off! Is it really worth the cost to these companies that mail out? Whatever comes just goes right in the recycle bin in my household without nary a look.

I think the game camera with a motion detector would work well, thank for the idea Jfootin. Would be fun to boo bee trap the mail box, but I'd just end up in jail.

Get with that Rooski YouTube guy and develop a game camera/gun. That would make good YouTube videos, but you would need some way to post that didn't lead back to you!
I guess you could use some good pepper spray/CS/UV Dye-type device, too... not lethal.

LOL, if it's not lethal what fun is it? J/K I think a game camera would work well, at least get picture of whoever is snooping, and give me something to show the authorities. I'd like to get one of those old gas station bells that dinged when you ran across the hose and put the hose out there and throw a little dirt over it, so I'd know if someone was coming up the drive. I live quite aways back from the road, so it's difficult to keep watch on things and get anything done. One of those gas station dingers would be nice, specially at nightt if someone was driving up to rob the place. Or maybe some type of wireless motion detector that would set an alarm off.
Anything like that would work. I'll do some internet research and see what's available.

Great news about your dog, I'm sure glad that is back safe and sound.
About that mail, I second the vote to ban junk mail.

Check out "Dakota Alert" That's what I use. I bought the metal detector one. That I buried under ground. I chose that one over the motion detector because to many large animals would be setting it off all the time. My driveway is over half a mile long. It's nice to have a little warning for vehicles. Now, if people are slinking around not encased in a vehicle, it does squat. They are a good company to work with. Replaced parts free of charge when I had an issue.

Now that is slick. You have time to get to battle stations before anybody arrives.

Well, I'm going to talk to the post office tomorrow. And make sure the carrier is shutting the door tight. And see what other steps I need to tak.
Thanks for the tip on the Dakota Alert, Haven. I just checked that out, looks like that might be what I need, I doubt if anyone is going to park on the road and walk up the long driveway in the middle of the night. Thats the type of thing I was looking for, only hadn't had a chance to do any research yet.
