Well, I got my spare parts in... the ejector/kits for my polymer Kahrs.
The stuff for the P380 was in one baggy... extractor, pin, spring, pin... all smaller than the other Kahrs... along with the two recoil springs.
The other extractors, springs and pins were all in one baggy. I know the PM45's rear pin is larger, but all of the extractors are supposedly specific to the pistol. I did notice some markings on one side of two of the extractors... 2 out of 3, anyhow. I'm kind of concerned about the unmarked one because the "claw" is very minimal on it. I took some pictures and will be emailing pix and asking Jay what's what and if the one extractor looks normal. I would have to take all of the slides apart to see if there are identifying marks. All of the extractors are very similar in size... only one dimension on one being maybe 1/100th larger across the widest part of the extractor... outside of pin to foot of claw... un rimmed side.
The leftmost extractor doesn't seem to have enough or the gripping part.
I'll put one more picture of it in the next post.

Does this extractor look out of tolerance??
More pix from preceding post.
I will put an extractor kit and slide lock spring, screw, and washer in a small baggy for each of the 4 calibers of my poly Kahrs... for carrying to the range. I already have my old recoil spring assembly with the self-made nut on the end for my PM45 in my range box.

Apparently the 9mm's can share extractors. My spare PM9 extractor fit the K9 and the P9. I just got in my ported barrel and my K9 extractors and other stuff today.
The Extractors are plain... just like the PM9 ones and the P9's.
Pix of K9 extractors in baggie. PM9 extractor is leftmost in other photos.

I know that's the company line, but my experience is a tad different.
I was shooting my then dead stock S&W 686 'SSR' in an IDPA match. I inserted 6 new rounds with speed loader and when I pressed the button on the speed loader, the cylinder fell out of the revolver.
Seems the set screw that retains the crane in the frame was too short and the shaft for the crane wore on the tip of the set screw till it fell out of the frame.
Trust me, the Glock guys gave me a major ribbing that day.

I imagine that your JAW tried to follow the cylinder, too. You sure wouldn't expect a "tank" like that to fall apart!

Actually, it was two jaws that fell out along with the cylinder. The gunsmith that did the original trigger job on my 686 was the Safety Officer & standing right next to my right shoulder when it happened. We were dumbfounded and just sort of looked at each other. WTF????
Nobody had a revolver with them, so one of the guys loaned me a Glock 19 and I finished the match with that & my times were posted in SSP instead of SSR.
As for being a tank, actually it's the Ruger's that are tanks. S&W's aren't built heavy enough for the guys that like to play with wild cat loads, but Ruger's are. So, you'll find folks that like to shoot the hottest loads imaginable shoot Rugers, while the guys that like to shoot in speed competitions prefer Smiths because of the action.
Lastly, my 686 is out getting trigger job #4 and I'm chomping at the bit to get it back. It started out with a 10.69# DA pull. Trigger job #1 got that down to 8.95# still running most ammo. I did some more spring work and got it down to 7.15# running Federal primers. It's at Apex Tactical getting the cat's meow treatment with a sub-5# DAO trigger. :33:

certainly not indicatvie fo the Smith 686 eithe.r U just got a bad sumpin. Smith will make it right. Mind ya the embarrassement at that particular time with your 686 probalby was not nice but any shooter knows that sh!t does happen. Course Glocks never give issues. Just sayin
. My PM9 has over 40,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Hey, I wasn't complaining. Just pointing out that even granite breaks sometimes.
Embarrassed? Not really. Embarrassed is when I forget to shoot all the targets!Dumfounded is more like it.
Smith did fix the 686 - although they were sloooooow at sending me the prepaid shipping label.
The 686 is one of my favorite guns. It not only shoots very well, it's a big kick to get the fastest times in a match when everyone else is shooting semi-autos.
