Not sure this is the place to ask but my CW9 has a popping in the trigger. After u rack the slide and start to pull the trigger after about1/8 in. it goes pop. You can let it back out and it will not do it again untill u pull the trigger all the way to fire and rack the slide,it does it all over again.. is this normal or is it catching on something? thanks

That's not normal. It should be silky smooth with no popping, or staging or anything.

What could it be?

Just guessing, but I would think it is some gunk in the striker channel or something weird going on with the trigger bar. But there are much more knowledgeable people than me here that will chime in on this. You can spray brake cleaner through the little hole in the slide to blow out the striker channel. It helps if you pull the striker back as far as you can and hold it before you blow it out. Inspect, clean and lightly lube the trigger bar area. Look for any scratches or signs of anything binding up.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Do you have many rounds through the gun? Was it smooth before this showed up?

With the slide off, you can push in the striker by the lug that catches the trigger cam. Best is to use something solid like a Popsicle stick to feel for roughness or binding. If you can push it in and all is smooth it isn't likely the striker channel, but the converse is also true. If it's rough, you need to remove the slide back plate and the striker assembly and clean it out, even use a light to see in the channel. Clean up the parts and reassembly without lube and slide in the channel without the spring checking for smoothness. If smooth then put the rest back together.

There is a tutorial on doing all this in this thread (http://kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?t=197). Be sure to make and use the tool shown and also put masking tape over the extractor on the outside of the slide to keep it in place. Caution as springs may fly if not controlled.

If it isn't the striker it must be the trigger system, but I won't get into that.

Play in the frame/slide/drawbar when no magazine is in the pistol.
