I need a new everyday carry holster for cw9. After looking at everything on the market i'm down to these two.... Can someone help me out? I have read post after post on both. I like the idea of the leather liner on the Silent Thunder but i like the thin PJ...Just how much different are we talking. I want something to wear everyday. sunup to sundown. and have it be comfortable... I have a whole box of holsters that are uncomfortable. For the last couple years I have CC a kel-tec .32 in front pocket and didn't know it was there. My new cw9 has been there for two week but you can tell its there even in a uncle mikes pocket holster. I would like to carry 4 or 5 oclock. I hate to buy both to find out what i like best. Any help would be great. Thanks

Well, with the PJ, you won't know it's there, all day long.

I like the PJ Holster for its comfortable light weight simplicity. If you don't like it when you receive you can it send it back, no questions asked, for a full refund. Paul is easy to work with and is anxious to please. He will customize to fit your needs.

This is my own personal opinion. I have had both. The Silent Thunder IWB and a PJHolster IWB. I must say hands down, I like the PJ much better. For me, the Silent Holster was too thick and bulky feeling. Don't get me wrong the S T is a wonderful holster, built like iron, and will last a lifetime. But, due to its layer of kydex around a layer of leather, it is like a double thick package. Furthermore, the way the belt clip is attached from near the bottom and extends upward to the top of the holster adds another layer of kydex and the belt clip kydex is a thicker kydex. I ended up selling the S T. The PJ is just perfect. Thick enough to be very sturdy while thin enough to be incredibly comfortable. The retention is just how it should be and is adjustable. It holsters with a solid "click." I got the IWB with the belt clip not the J hook. People have said the the J hook style can pull on the pants. The Belt clip style uses the belt to support the weight of the gun. Paul will accommodate many custom requests at no extra charge. I specified ride height, cant (I got no cant), and I asked that the belt clip be no wider than 1". It came out perfect. It is a great little grab and go package. I am going to order the exact same thing in a tuckable version, shortly. All in all at $40.00 shipped, less than half the price of the Silent Thunder, one great value. Here it is. Sorry the pic's are blurry. I can't figure out how to get my camera into macro mode.

I have the Silent Thunder (3 actually), and will most likely never buy anything else. I'm picky, especially IWB, and I'm quite comfortable wearing the Silent Thunder without having to 'dress around' the gun.

Love that leather lined kydex, not to mention the incredible pair that is Ron and Sheryl Garrett.

PJ's work is good. I have many of his holsters so I am biased. I use a fanny pack carry mostly but for the more dressed up functions, I go to his stuff. Clean, thin, light, and functional. BTW you might like PJ's custom FBI style cants.

Just to help even the odds and further muddy the waters I go with what Thunder said. Silent Thunder all the way for me. Ron and Sheryl are a class act and they too will modify, replace or refund if your not happy.

I'm happy twice now and have happiness 3 and 4 in my sights.

You are not in trouble with either choice. If you feel it does not suit you it will sell on this board in a few minutes. Post your thoughts when you have it.
