I have a friend with an AO parkerized 1911 who is looking for rosewood grips.
Does anyone know of any places that have or can make them for an AO 1911?

+1 . . . Bawanna (http://kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?t=5082) now for sure. But, at one time Esmeralda did very nice work. Lately, it appears that all her checkering is done with lasers. Okay, but hand checkering does a much nicer job of letting the grain show.
If you don't mind the cost and are looking for smooth 1911 grips, Esmeralda (http://esmeralda.cc/) has some nice wood as does "Sarge" at The Finer Grain dot com (http://shop.thefinergrain.com/).
