She started out as a plain Jane Gen 2 G17 and turned into a race gun. With the compensator, it doesn't feel like I'm shooting a 9mm.

what is that bar shaped thing on the back of the slide???

Jocko, that's a tactical slide racker. It's not easy to rack the slide with the sight in the way.

ROFL!!! He's going to have a hard time now that I've installed a fence and keep the gates locked.
Bawanna hasn't seen the gun yet.

Are you competing yet? My only competition was shooting paper, with a pistol, Trap and Sporting Clays with the Shriners. And some bowling pin shoots. Won a few trophies. They don't award money on most of the shoots except the Sporting Clays that's open to the public, and I usually finish in the middle somewhere. Wish they had a rifle shoot. That's what I used to be really good at.

I've competed in 2 of the Glock competitions (GSSF). I won a Glock in a random drawing in the first competition. Don't know about the 2nd competition yet. I'm not anywhere near good enough to win, but I enjoy competing against myself. As long as I improve my scores each time, I'll be happy.

What finish do you have on the slide CCR?

It is Titanium Cerakote and is a little darker than it looks in the picture...more grey than silver.

You can call me sugar darlin, bawanna sounds so cold and distant. I was a fence builder for my first career about 10 years, and I did a few lock smith classes but no need to worry. If I visit I'll knock on the door, no lurking outside the windas.
Course if you got steps at the front door I might have to toss pebbles instead of knocking or ringing the ding aling.

Best be careful Bawanna you start tossing pebbles at the door she's liable to put a bullet in you keester. With at that gun and sight I'm sure she could place one just about anywhere she wanted.:D Could prove to be a real PITA.

Naw, come on down to GA for a visit, sugar darling. I generally follow Cooper's 4 rules of safety and look before I shoot. :p

Good attitude Melissa, just compete against your self and get better each time and one of these days you'll start placing in the money. I thought I had a gun traded for a model 34 Glock, but the guy backed out this morning.

Too bad the guy backed out. The 34 is a great gun...probably my favorite.

Yes, longer than a 17, but shorter than a 17 long.

I was set on keeping my EXO Glock G27 stone stock as a SD gun.
Still caught the nothings wrong, but how can I make it better bug.
And after much deliberation bought a factory G33/357 barrel and 5 357 mags.
Freaking gun nose dives on Speer GDHPs. So bad it locks up the gun!
In 40 trim she's perfect.
Should have left well enough alone.
Should have went Storm Lake on the barrel.
Now I'm mad. And so much for factory only reliability.
My Ghost Rocket 3.5 arrives tomorrow - LOL!

Good choice, Barth. That's what I have in the Bulldawg. Did you also get the Wolf competition spring pack?

No, just the connector.
I had Wilson Combat springs in my S&W 640-1 and got light primer strikes!
Had to go back to stock.
Afraid to play with the springs for an SD gun.
Looking for a crisp 1911 like trigger - LOL!
At least a Glock version of it...
Did you do it yourself?
Do you have to have the armorers plate? (I didn't get one).
Good news is I found my old gunsmith Woo Hoo!
Getting SRT installed in my P239/357 at the same time!
This guy is old school though and refuses to install light springs in guns.

I did not install it myself because it it not just a drop in and go. The range owner does all of my work that requires tools or fine adjustments. I've got that set up in a few guns and haven't had any light primer strikes. It doesn't work as good in some Gen 4 guns and causes the trigger safety to not reset correctly. LOL! That's almost like a 1911 trigger.
I saw a video the other day about a trigger kit for Glocks that claims to be very close to a 1911. It's the Travis Haley "Skimmer" that is advertised here http://shop.glocktriggers.com/The-HALEY-SKIMMER-GT-13.htm. I'm seriously thinking about trying this.

That looks really interesting....
After getting a factory G33/barrel and mags (nose dive city)
and Ghost Rocket. I could have easily got that setup _(*&_(*&*.
I actually have a OEM Glock "-" 3.5 connector on "ready one"
in case the Ghost doesn't work out - LOL!
If you get the Skimmer let me know how it works for you!!!
Right now it's movie time.
Talk to you later Girl.
