Hey everyone - first post from Canton, Ga!
I run a P9 dlc with triji night sights in a comp-tac iwb holster for my daily carry weapon. I've got right at 300 rounds through it without a single failure, and the accuracy for it's size really impresses me and everyone I let shoot it. I'm a fan boy!
I shoot idpa at bigwoodsgoods for anyone else in the area.
Thinking about a p45 ;-)

Welcome to KahrTalk!
Loved Georgia when I was a young Marine stationed in Beautfort SC. Of course all I generally got to see were the bars on Savannah Beach which stayed open later than the bars in SC.
Actually do remember one trip to Atlanta. Believe it was the Omni Hotel that I stayed at. Remember spending free time in a place called the Underground or Subway or something like that. Had an interesting encounter one night walking back to the hotel. Had a black guy stop me and suggest I take a bus back. Told him I just liked walking and then he told me I wouldn't be smart for a white guy to do that. He said something like "OK, I'll walk with you". Never asked for anything and wouldn't accept my buying him a drink. Did tell me to take the bus next time.

That sounds like underground Atlanta. I avoid anywhere inside the perimeter like the plague...crime and crazy traffic.
BTW, welcome to the forum bushjockey! I'm pretty close to Athens.

Sounds like a fun crowd on here!
For the record, I stay awayfrom the cty - just not my style. Work brought me to atlanta and keeps me here...for now.
Bigwoodsgoods is off 575 at exit 14 for the one who asked. Cool peeps running the show there.

hello Bushjockey and welcome from an Atlanta native living and shootin inside the Super Loop I-285 perimeter home of the Watermelon 500...
There are a few rules you need too know to make living here easier
1. Never go anywhere unarmed!!!
2. The Varsity restaurants are famous but not really all that great but if your innards ever get real bad stopped up then go eat a double order of their onion rings and that grease will get things moving on through the lower parts pronto...
3. Learn Spanish...
4. Everyone drives like they are smoking crack...
5. If it snows STAY OFF THE ROAD!!!...see rule 4
Again welcome to the best gun site on the internet, lots of real nice folks here ready willing and able to help you out...

What are you talking about? Those Varsity onion rings are GOOD! At least the ones in Athens are. ;)

When I worked at Georgia-Pacific, our team would go to the old Varsity about once a year. By the time we got back to G-P Center, my boss and I were both headed for the bathroom!
