and every time i went to range have people laughing at me for having to shoot old flat front pm9. the rest of my kahrs are all beautiful new style. i walked into gunshop and owner handied me a pm9 that he was unpacking with night sights and said if i did'nt do something it was going to have to spend holidays crammed in with stuff like colts and kimbers and sigs. i saved it and brought it home but i've still got old style . it shoots to good to get rid of it. i'm thinking about carrying new style during the day and old style at night maybe if i have to use it nobody will notice its old style

Bless you for saving that pretty new style PM9 from a sad homeless holiday. Your a true humanitarian. I'm glad your all stocked on new style Kahrs and no longer will feel the urge to go to the range with a paper sack over your head.
I'm still partial to the hold flat nose myself and I'm accustomed to funny and sorrowful looks in just about everything I do. I guess I'm just resistant to change. I'm sure I'll come to love the new style eventually and will want to were the paper sack some day.
Crap, wife just suggested I use plastic with a tight tie around the neck. She said then I wouldn't have to cut eye holes and risk poking myself in the eye with my knife, but I think she's up to something.

Hey KahrNut1.... Now's the time to get your licks on Jocko. He's in travel status and cant respond for the next several days, so pile-on! :D As for me, Im busy retrieving the card table from the garage, dusting it off, unfolding it on the back porch, scraping-off the caked-on dressing leftover from Thanksgiving, and preparing (yet again) to take my customary seat at the kiddie table for our Xmas feast! :D

I like the old better too, but I have the new one. BTW, spending the holidays in the company of SIGs, Colts, and Kimbers wouldn't be bad - sounds like a nice neighborhood.

I will probably never get a PM9 because I can't get the flat front slide version. Oh, I also wouldn't want the 2 different types of mags that come with the gun. I can't stand the look of the longer mags.

is no nicer looking kahr than the blunt nose PM9 or PM40. Ifmy blunt nose PM9 was stolen, I would look and look and find me another blunt nose PM9 beforeI would ever even think of considering that"new fandangled" beveled version. Guarantee u one thing ur blunt version is smaller than ANY 9 OR 40 CALL KAHR MADE TODAY. That to me speaks well in itself, for a concealed carry gun. If I want something good to look at I just carry a photo of Oprah Winfrey:banplease::banplease:
Now this extended magazine, let get real here. THAT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FOKKING MAGAZINE I HAVE EVER SEEN. How could u not like a half plastick floor plate with the other half of dull stainless steel exposing itself like a damn pervert. I wish all my magazines could loook like that:banplease:
Am I the only one calling the flat front the "PM9J" (for Jocko model)

I'm not familiar with the change from a flat to beveled slide front. Can someone direct me to a picture comparing the two?
Thanks...

Thanks, Cokeman. I see why they did it: to make holstering the gun a little easier. Of course, my CM9 is beveled even more for easy insertion in a holster, and it's a better looking gun, IMO. :behindsofa:

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I vote PM9J. But if someone would like to donate a new PM9 to persuade me....I can be bought.

PM9J all the way. I don't see adding size and weight to a carry gun for no real reason.

I actually don't think it's hideous. Just joking since people are making a big deal out of which one is better.

The J is for Jocko. I prefer to call the flat front design the PM9 Classic.

Well, if Toppie Smellie, the "Where's the beef?" lady, opened one up, it would be Smellie Firearms. Yuck!
Or Di ck Butcus, it would be Butcus Firearms.
Or Di ck Trickle, it would be Pec ker Tracks Firearms! :banplease:
