...... cool stuff under the tree? I received a copy of "Janes Ammunition Handbook 2009 - 2010". Holy crap! This book has anything you will every want to know about any kind of ordnance made in the world! From RPG's, cannon artillery, missles, and of course, rifle and pistol ammo. It gives identification for just about any headstamp on ammunition cases made in the world. Sometimes my friends and I will uncover a case (30'06, 308, 223) that we do not recognize. This book will help determine whose it is. Great gift! :D

I finally got my CW45 along with a Crimson Trace. My wife had this since before Thanksgiving but wouldn't let me have it until Christmas. I am taking it to the range for break-in today. I also got a Sneaky Pete holster for my CM9.

Mrs.Santa gave me Dennis Adler's "Colt Single Action - from Patersons to Peacemakers" for the coffee table in my mancave.

Santa left my eldest son a LNIB PM9 and 20 rounds of Gold Dot 115 grain ammo.
(It was my PM9)

Also Santa left three Ruger 10/22 25 round magazines for my three sons, who coincidentally still have the rifles I bought them on the days they were born in 1968, 1971, & 1972.

My oldest daughter bought me a t-shirt that reads "I support the right to arm bears" and has a picture of a bear holding a hunting rifle. Cracked me up.
I stuck all my recent purchases under the tree. The 686 Talo, LC9, and that ********* DB9. I still haven't shot that 686. Did get an offer to trade the DB9 for an Armscor 38 special and $100, passed on it. Wish my Boberg would get in!

My son has a new .22 inbound that did not make it for Christmas. I found a deal too good to pass up on a GSG-522. That will be a present for me as well as it gives us another reason to hit the range. :)

I didn't get anything gun related for Christmas, so I had to go out and buy my own yesterday.

I got myself a S&W Model 638 Airweight Bodyguard for Christmas, a couple of speed loaders, an Uncle Mike's #3 pocket holster, and some ammo - 100 rounds of WWB from Wallyworld and 40 rounds of Corbon 110 gr DPX online. I intend to get a trigger job and a TIG-welded hammer extention done on it. I am looking at a set of checkered wood grips for it, and I am negotiating on a holster or two. Sure cured my annual Grinchiness this year! :D:D:D

Here's what it will look like with the wood grips:

I may be able to pull an AR out but it will be well after the new year. I also have to go get a new washer.

I think all washing machine manufacturers are anti gun for sure. You save your nickels and dimes and they throw a damn switch and you need a new washer, alot like other kitchen appliances.

I think it was better back in the Little Fairy on the Prairie days when they cooked on wood stoves, washed clothes in the crick, dried on a line and never messed with your gun fund.

A jock strap for jocko, not that's about as appropriate as I've ever heard. What a thoughtful gift.

What do you think guys, wearing it or by itself. I don't mind telling you, I'm afraid, very afraid.

Santa ran across a Storm Lake stainless 40 to 9mm conversion barrel for $120.
So guess what happened?

(plus topgunsupply still has Glock mags on sale for 21.99)

That's 40/357/9 all in one gun.

I'm considering either a top folder or an adjustble knoxx stock for it. Along with some other goodies down the road

Bawanna
01-01-2012, 01:18 PM
I like the speedfeed with buttstock and pistol grip. Some of the adjustable's are pretty nice though too. I'm not big on folders, guess they have their place and make the gun more compact for transporting and storage.

Rotorflyr
01-01-2012, 02:50 PM
The folder is kinda of a "nostalgia" thing for me (I had a 500yrs ago that had one on it) but am leaning towards the knoxx adjustable so it will "fit" MrsFlyr (and maybe the kids) as well (not to mention the knoxx does a good job of recoil reduction)
