Just saw this movie. I highly rec. Yeah it has over the top gun play, yes it is fantasy, but it is very entertaining IMHO. I think the best MI to date.
Anyone else see it?

Were there enough closeups of Tom's face? Normally he is exceeded in closeup minutes per movie only by Kevin Cosner. ;)
Glad you enjoyed the movie.

of course his mug was full screen size a lot. I couldnt imagine having my mug displayed like that. They would be asking if it was human or not.

I haven't seen any of the MI movies...
Did see Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Although adult, dark and disturbing it was really quite good.

That was an intense movie. Saw it with the girl last Friday. Almost three hours long though!

I haven't seen a new movie in twenty years. I doubt this will be my first.

On Christmas afternoon the family went to see the new Sherlock Holmes movie because thats the one SWMBO wanted to see...I didn't think I would like it but it turned out to be pretty good after all, a little long but interesting...Robert Downey Jr is a good actor and was perfect in the role of Holmes and the movie had a couple of good scenes of him shooting the Webley .455

I think Robert Downey Jr is an exceptional actor.
Also liked the first Sherlock Holmes movie a lot.
But was disappointed by this sequel.
Admittedly I don't like much.
And favor unusual niche movies mostly.
Everyone here that knows me will not be surprised that I'm looking forward to
the latest installments of Underworld and Resident Evil.
That's more my speed...

:D
I go about as often. I did take my kids to see the first of the Lord of the Ring trilogy flicks about ten years ago. I remember during a rather violent scene, my youngest son whispered to me, "Dad, I think this is too intense for me". I was rather proud of him for recognising that.
I made it a point to go see Saving Private Ryan in our new ultra modern theater. One of the few times I thought my ticket was well worth the price. The sound system was spectacular and made the movie.

+1 Me too, neither, O'Dell. I don't support Hollywood, because Hollywood doesn't support me.
