ran 175 rnd through the P40 with my new Williams FO sights (red) and I must say that for the money ($50 plus shipping to Kahr and installation too), my sight picture is much better inside and outside the range. I feel that I am better at hitting a 7.5 inch disc at 20 yrds. ( standing comabt stance w/ support hand no rest at a rate of approx 1 rnd per second) In fact, I went from 50% hitting this disc at that distance to almost 70% with just the sight change. For many here, that might not seem like much but for me it is an improvement and I am continuing my work to do better.
Obviously at night these sights are about as good as iron sights but I found that I really cannot see my night sights either at night unless my eyes have completely adapted to the dark otherwise the little glow spots are easily missed by my eyes. However if I look at my gun in the night stand in the middle of the night when I awake, those NS look light a night light sitting there.
I have cleaned the gun with them and have doused these sights with solvent and there was no ill effects to them.
FWIW the front sight is a lttle dimmer than the rears under some lighting situations. I realize the fs is futher away from my eyes but I feel that is not the reason. It is not significant enough to make a difference and when outside at mid day there is no diff.
In short, I do like them YMMV.

I have removed all the fiber optic sights from most of my CARRY guns. They are far to easy to damage, my gunsmith loves them, he says he gets a lot of work from replacing them when they get broken. I do love how they help visability however, to bad they are so fragile.

when they break can you see the fracture? Is it obvious or does it fail to light up one day and then you know?

Well I do see these sight sooooo much easier than the OEM ones itis silly. If they are not durable then I will have a decision to make.

I have heard good things about this type, they are bright and shielded.

N0, they are made for quite a few models, my local gun shop sells them, they had several different ones in stock.

they look good. Not sure I would pay little over twice the price over williams fo sights but if they are more durable then it is worth it. In fact if mine break, I will probably replace with these or a more shielded kind if they offer them for my model. Doesnt more shielding also block more transmitted light?

I emailed truglo about two weeks ago. Not available for the CM9. I have TFO sights on my glock and I love them. See their response below:
Dear Sir,
We do not offer sights for the CM9 handgun at this time.
We are always evaluating new firearms for additions to our product line and I will forward your inquiry to our engineering department for their consideration.
Thank you for taking the time to contact us with this request.
Shoot safely,

I have a set of Dawson fiber optric adjustable sights on my G19 and they are the finest sights I have ever had. I don't abuse the gun, so the fragile optics make no difference to me.I would not want them for a pocket gun that is for sure. Probably a down side to everthing, fiber sights are no different.
I just ordered a set of Warren tactical fiber optic sights for my Glock and was wondering while I got you guys here, Do you recommend paying a gunsmith to install them or go ahead and do it myself?
