I sent my PM9 back to Kahr on last Monday, and got it back today. 11 day turn-around. You can't beat that!! This is the gun that would fire FMJ ammo all day long, but the slide would lock back with Gold Dots. The bullet was hitting the slide stop. They said that they reworked the slide stop and test fired it. I haven't shot it yet because I am out of GD's. Hopefully I can get it test fired this weekend to see if it is indeed fixed. Great CS as far as I am concerned. If it is fixed, I will be even happier. Stay tuned..Mike

do what i did, file that stupud protrusion down on the slide stop which is there to "guide" the bullet into the feed ramp. doesnt work for everyone though. I sanded mine down to where it didnt push the bullet as far to the right as it once was doing. now it pushes ti literally to the centre of the feed ramp. i think the reason there are so many issues with this gun feeding is b/c of its size. and the offset feed ramp. anyway......
if you do that it should help it or fix it. dont give up hope and definetely dont waste time sending it back to Kahr if they didnt fix it. I think my fix will work for you. You just wanna round the protrusion off is all. Doesnt take much. Also, polish the crap outta that feed ramp. it helps. also polish the breech face, the chamber and the internals of the slide as well at the chamber. that wasy itll be too slick for the hollow point to dig in and catch. Lastly, try a more rounded profile bullet. that helps mucho. something like a Pow' R' Ball or the like. i did all the above and my kahr went from a jam-catch-o-matic on the first round when sling shotting or otherwise, to a smooth operating pistol no mater the round count. I think youll be pleased.

I like GDHP performance in lots of loads.
But they do seem to cause feeding issues sometimes.
My MK40 had trouble with their Short Barrel ammo under 400 rounds.
That stuff is expensive, and I've got the MK40 broke in (400+) and running
GDHP 155s. So I'm happy and haven't tried the SB again.
I love the SB in my 38 and 44 revolvers.
The SB 357 mag is only 990 fps though.
So I'm running Winchester PDX1 in the 640-1.
Got a G33/357 barrel/mags for my G27/40 Glock.
The GDHPs nose dive bad. Real bad.
Federal tactical bonded and Winchester are fine.
I'm getting Storm Lake barrels in 357 and 9mm for the G27.
Going to give the 357 GDHPs a second try.
(I've read about others having G33 issues with GDHPs.
New Glock chamber support for the barrels causing feed issues)
Nice.
I went OEM initially for reliability and got *(&^(*&_(((.
Also ordered 250 rounds of LE GDHP 124 gr +P 9MM.
Speer produces high performance ammo and I really want to use it.
But am losing faith on the reliability front.
Although I haven't had issues in 40 with GDHPs in the MK40 or G27,
I've switched to Winchester T-Series for self defense.
They have a great reputation and a much less aggressive HP for feeding
reliability.
Even my Kahr MK40, during break in, ran flawlessly on Winchester LE HP ammo.
I'm super bored so I'm rambling on purpose - LOL!
If the GDHPs still don't feed reliably switch to Winchester T-Series.
I think you will have better luck.

I am a big believer in the Corbon DPX
The bullet end seems more narrow, eliminating or reducing the issue above
And...... I tested the bullet in wetpack vs Gold dots and rangers..(expansion and penetration).... the Corbon was slightly better than the rangers, but was better by a larger margin vs the Gold Dots

kinda hard to beat the dpx, some might be maybe as good but certainly IMO not better. Not a cheap round but neither is life.

I rec'd 4 boxes of 9mm 115+P DPX late yesterday afternoon. I'm going to test them in my P9 and SIG P239. If they function well, I'll order some more for a carry round. Best price I found was $25.53 a box.

I've heard good things about Corbon DPX.
But that $25.53 is for 20 or 25 rounds right?
I've gotten in the habit of buying only LE ammo if I can help it.
It comes in boxes of 50 for about the price of high quality SD ammo
in the small boxes.
I mostly get -
Speer GDHP Duty
Winchester Ranger T-Series
or
Federal HST

Barth..
I just ordered up 150 rounds of the Winchester T series, 124gr. If the Gold Dots don't work, I will try them. I have no problems with that. I just wanted a pistol that will shoot anything, like I have heard so much about..I have no qualms about not shooting the GD's, in fact, they are on my sh!t list, right now!! Will try the GD's first and see what happens. Stay tuned. Thanks for the help, gentlemen..You guys rock..Mike

I just received a few boxes of Federal HST 124+p. Really like the looks of this round. The profile seems more narrow than GD's to me. Looking forward to giving them a try.
