I am sure this has been done but when I searched I did not find it. My steel floorplate on my six round mag would not lock on very tight and after a search I see it is a frequent problem. I tried squeezing the lips both up and down and sideways and I could easily still push the floorplate off without depressing the button. I found that out the hard way, the first time I checked it for tightness it slipped right off and the spring and locking plate went flying, I was lucky and found both. I ended up making a little template out of a small chunk of aluminum. I drilled a 13/64th hole in the aluminum and laid the locking plate with the dimple in the hole and gave it a couple of hard raps with a hammer and the appropiate size punch. It now seems nice and tight and I pushed pretty hard and it did not slide off. If this has already been done which it probably has I apologize for the duplicate post.

Thanks for posting this fix of sharpening up the edges of the dimple.

I did that a few months back... works great!
Should say, that "hole" got cleaned up somewhat... drift punch thru it to sharpen the edge angle... file the edge smooth, etc.. it works.

My plate never fell off but was obviously loose. I took vice grips and carefully squeezed the bottom plate lips until it didn't move much but I can still take it apart. I was ready to do the punch thing if this didn't secure them.
Now to wade through the 87 posts to follow slamming Kahr for their so, so poor mags. Sigh.....

Wow, What sized hammer did you use. I actually was afraid of doing the same thing so I did not drill the hole very deep.
If I hadda do it again... drill a little hole, punch the hole bigger, as to upset the metal and make a better "lip" on the follower. Clean it up. Done. The bend on the end prevents it from slipping out of the mag body. Really... a little thicker part would have been nice there Kahr... its really just "barely" thick enough

I had to crimp the edges of my magazines with vise grips also.
