How do you guys feel about carrying a CM9 in the back poket and sitting on it? I have my CM9 Blackhawk pocket holster in my back pocket and dont sitting on it but was wondering if I am harming the gun?

You won't hurt the gun.
I sometimes carry my CM9 w/ CTC laser or my LCP w/CTC laser in my back pocket with no problems with either guns or lasers.

my problem was that my back pockets never fully covered the handgun, if I did not have a shirt hanging over my back pocket I just could not accept that part showing... It might look like a wallet but when the grip is sticking out the back top of the pocket then it is not a wallet..

I do not have a CM9 bu do have a PM9 with the CT laser and as Jocko has pointed out I was never able to get it in my back pocket and cove the grip. I purchase a Ruger LCP with a CT installed just for that type of carry the difference in size allows me to carry it in a Uncle George's wallet holster evn in my Docker style dress pants and it just looks like a wallet.

I'd be more worried about either hurting my back from sitting on it, or someone grabbing it out of my back pocket.
I have become a LOT more comfortable in crowds since I started carrying my wallet in my front pocket. A pistol would be worse.

I back pocket carry my PM9 all the time. To do this, you have to wear cargo pants or painters jeans with pockets big enough to cover the grip.
Just curious..., How difficult would it be for someone to remove the gun from your back pocket? I'm thinking a crowded mall, someone bumps in to you....

I would be more worried about sciatic nerve injuries from sitting on the gun. One time when working out, I forgot and left my wallet in my back pocket. I sat on the weight bench with a couple of dumbells in my hands and rolled back onto the bench to do some presses. Well, the wallet pinched my sciatic nerve, just felt a tiny pop. I spent the next 3 months in indescribable pain. It was weeks before I could even sit down. I actually had to stand at my desk. Anyway, if a wallet could do that, I can certainly see a pistol in your back pocket doing the same or worse.

That would certainly be a concern of mine. Being born and and raised in NYC (1944-1976) I grew up with the norm of front pocket wallet carry to make pick pocketing more difficult.
I have carried my LCP in my back pocket in a Desantis pocket holster on several occasions. Although it has never happened it always worries me that the magazine release button might get pressed and release the mag causing a malfunction. Maybe I worry too much.

I carry LCP in Desantis in my back pocket also. It's my summer setup. CM9 not quite small enough. But in Cargo Shorts and stuff like that and in winter with more clothes you can go CM9 a lot.
Like others have already said. You wont hurt the pistol if you sit on it. I do it all the time.

I would think possably a rear carry might possably entice premature mag release, especially if one is a lard ass!!!!

I am…and it does :D (LCP)
Trimming the holster in that area and filing down the mag release a bit solves the issue ;)

My ass got loose once. Spent hours looking for it. I prefer to be a tight ass.

I also occasionally carry my LCP in a back pocket, but then it's not a Kahr and I don't really care if it gets squished. I've never had the mag release activated in an Uncle Mike's holster.

I tried it in the back pocket looking for options and that wasn't acceptable. The whole thing about pocket carry is to avoid needing an overshirt. The PM9 is thin but not thins enough to not be visible to anybody standing behind you in a checkout line. That violates the concealment law, but worse is some smartass behind you grabbing at it or somebody loudly proclaiming "Hey he has a gun!".
I didn't even try sitting on it, but look at it as similar to small of the back carry. Painful and possibly damaging to fall on but certainly uncomfortable to sit on.
I recommend a decent IWB instead. I have carried my Silent Thunder for a long time and have never been made that I know of. I also carry in my front pocket although less comfortably than IWB, and clumsy to draw from.

Well…filing and trimming was quicker AND…I like cheeseburgers :p

i figured I wold get that kind of an answer. indeed filing and trimming is the way to go. Life is short, go for it.
That was easy….I’m sensing a soft spot for cheeseburgers :D
