I had a PM45 about 18 months ago, and it was an absolute nightmare for me.... I shoot left handed, and it ejected screaming fast hot brass directly into my face every single shot. Sent it back to Kahr twice and they never fixed it, finally said there was nothing they could do about it.... at my it's third trip to the factory - they replaced it with a PM9 at my request.
But now... I still maintain an interest in Kahr 45ACP guns. I would like to think that stepping up to a longer slide/barrel in a CW45 or P45 would allow for more reliable function, and hopefully an ejection pattern that doesn't lead right into my face.
So - owners.... what do you notice about the brass ejection pattern of your pistols?
Thanks.

I berng a lefty sometimes will get a few head dings from my kahr and also from my G19. I attribute that to the position of the gun in a left hander shooting syle that puts the ejection port more in view than would be a right hander. Not saying this is truye in all instances for most lefty's have no issues, but it sure is more possable in a left hand shooter than a right hand shooter..
sometimes ammo can be the cause, or recoil springs even being the cause. Kinda hard to pinpoint the true issue.

Yes, Kahr actually told me that the PM45 was not meant for LH shooters due to the ejection path.
I don't mind a few head dings, but not every shot, and not right into my eyeballs...
I would like to try another Kahr 45, but would like some good feedback and reassurance before doing so...!

After my first trip to the range with mine, I started wearing my Kahr cap along with my shooting safety glasses. With the bill positioned as low as possible, I don't get smacked... not that the cases fly back that way at me much anymore. My P40 does the same and really smacked my son a lot... got that on video, too... a "gentle" love-tap.

FWIW, my PM45 did that... during the first ... couple hundred or more rounds, but has behaved just fine since than. Righty me.

Mine only gets me if I go soft on the grip. Seems like the slightest move towards a limp wrist (I hate the description) and I get one in the face.
I would think a person could adjust the tension on the extractor either by changing spring length or changing the length of the follower rods in the extractor tunnel. Seems like any change would effect the flight path of the empties.
