"Willden, a Department of Defense contractor with a background in law enforcement, shot out one window with his Glock handgun after trying unsuccessfully to open windows and doors."

Dang, another Assault Weapon loose on the street!! I thought they banned all those. Or are they only assault weapons when some idiot uses them?

Didn't read the link, but I know why I carry a knife.
1) Cutting myself free from seat belts.
2) When my ammo runs dry, every day is Thanksgiving.

I usually carry a knife with me. I'm into Bark River's. Just ordered this little guy. Only 2.5 inch blade, but should carry nicely.

+100000000 on the CPR. Everyone should take the class every few years. I was required by my employer to take it in 2010.

I had to use the pulmonary part of CPR on Oct. 19, 2011. If I didn't know that part on that day my family would have had a very sad holiday indeed.

But this is what I carry on my weak side every day with my homemade tupperware sheath. The perfect setup.

This story made the NBC news. Didn't mention the knife, but said he shot out the window.

That Mnandi is awesome. That picture makes it look bigger than it is... it is just about the perfect gentlemans folder. I have a small sebenza that I am afraid to use. At least with my Bark Rivers I know I can send it up to Michigan and they will referb it back to like-new condition.

Bawanna, that knife would make short work of a seatbelt, but it might take off the head while you're at it.:40:

I've had to use my knife hundreds of times. Although, I've never had a life or death situation occur, knives are just too valuable a tool to NOT carry.
P.S....I've never had to use my gun, and by golly, I still carry it anyway.

If you would never consider leaving home without your firearm, but yet you don't have a knife in your pocket.... ya gotta ask yourself why not?!!!

Pro-Knife rant complete. Return to normal programing.:D

Those Natives are Wicked sharp little buggers.
You'll love it's bigger brother.... the Manix II

I just threw that out there to get you further hooked on knives. Once you start, it becomes addictively fun.

I'd like to see photos of a 40 year old fox with a whistle, wait....in the center console, must be a different kind of fox.

You forgot to mention the fox was "tied to its lanyard". Oh! **** I can see this thread going right down the dumper.

I'm kinda surprised it took this long. That being said, I have a multitude of sharp objects, and yes they are almost as much fun as my guns.

I didn't read the whole link, but I've been carrying a knife since it was perfectly exceptable for a father to give his 8 year old son a small Barlow knife for Christmas. That's about 58 years. I don't know how anyone could live without carrying one.

I have an oar in that boat as well. I find more and more that I actually trust people who don't carry a knife less than those that do. Not that I trust anyone, but still it is a matter of degrees. It seems that those who carry a knife are more conservative, and self reliant as well. I have also long said that you can tell much about a person by the knife they carry.
