If that's the gun he used, it's not a Glock. Looks like a Taurus 24/7.

I apologize. My first reaction was to laugh aloud.
Let's assume the owner/shooter has a CCW. Why would you carry without a holster to guard the trigger?
If there was no permit, why is there a loaded gun in the front seat?
In both cases, someone was playing with his weapon during that boring ride to the range.
A painful lesson learned. At least he's alive.

It doesn't look like a Glock to me.
(shakes his head.... has experienced seeing this during days as an active thrice weekly trainer...)

The frame safety is a dead giveaway! No Glock here.

It's definitely a Taurus.
@Triggerman---Not every state require a permit to keep a loaded gun in your car for selfdefense.

Texas does not require a permit for an adult non-felon to carry a loaded handgun in your car - only that it be concealed out of sight.

Except in Florida, the gun needs to be in the glove compartment or a holster that has a retention strap. Unless you have a CCW permit. Then it just needs to be out of sight. Even covered by a newspaper counts.

In Georgia a car is considered an extension of your home. You can pretty much carry a gun anywhere w/o a permit. [maybe not under the seat??]
I really dislike Taurus, but was was not the guns fault.

Under the seat.. in the console.. even just in your lap is ok in GA. I drove over to the daughters house the other day to pick up the grandkids and had the SP101 just layin in the passenger seat. (aint worked out the holster thing quite yet but I got one to go in the van when we travel) Grandson hopped up in the van and looked in the seat and said "COOL" then hopped into the middle seat and strapped himself in for the ride.

Years ago when I started carrying you could have the gun anywhere in the car, concealed or not, except under the drivers seat. That's why I put the question marks - I didn't know if the law had been changed in the intervening years.
