Just got back from the indoor gun range - breaking in my new toy (the Kahr CW45). Not too bad for the first 200 rounds - 2 FTFs early on, 2 FTEs (one early, one late), probably from limpwristing this little gun. Was using WWB and Remington 230gr fmj. Was all over the target at 10 yards with several flyers, but that piece of paper was deader than a doornail.
Recoil wasn't bad at all, but the muzzle blast out of this short barrel was a different story though - sounded almost as loud as my S&W Model 29 .44 magnum (8 3/8"). Will do another session soon with 200 more rounds.
Think I'm going to like this lil' thing.
Also sent 100 rounds downrange thru the Ruger SR9 without a hitch. Another 12 rounds thru the Ruger LCP .380 just for good measure.
All in all, an ok session, but the bad guys ain't got anything to be afeared of as long as they are more than 50 feet away. :o

Been under the weather for over a month now, so didn't take the new CW45 for it's second session until yesterday.
Sent 150 rounds down range (100 S&B fmj, 50 Am. Eagle fmj) - had 2 FTFs and 1 FTE with the S&B. The Am. Eagle ran fine.
350 rounds total, with 4 FTFs & 3 FTEs. Not good enough yet for CC.
Otherwise, I enjoy shootin' that little thang.
Cleaned her up good this afternoon. Hope to get out to Brother's ranchette and shoot at his little range. I just don't care for the indoor ranges much. Red's was pretty crowded with gangbangers yesterday, and a lot of them had their wimmins with them. Dunno which was louder, the gals or the guns.
Ran another 100 rounds through my Ruger SR9, with 1 FTE stovepipe.
Again, the bad guys could stand over 50' away from me and laugh. :o

Glad your feeling better. I have about 400 rounds through my CW45, mostly WWB and PMC FMJ without a problem. Any idea why you get the occasional hiccup? I also like shooting outdoors.:yo:

I just returned from my first session with my brand new CW45 as well. I only put about 80 rounds through it but I had absolutely no problems. I used a box of federal in the maroon box and some old remington that I've had laying around for about 15 years. The gun was amazing. I found it to be extremely accurate at 10-15 yds. Recoil much less than I expected. I do love this little gun and can't wait to put more rounds through it. Now it's time to clean her up again for next time.

The FTEs are most likely me limpwristing it, the FTSs...I dunno. The mags look smooth.

the S & b ammo gives issues, change brtands, go to what works perfect, expecialy in a defense round. For range fodder a FTE is no big deal, actually it can giv eyousome training i the Trap, Rack and Bang drills but defense stuff has to be reliable. To many other good brand sout thereto maybe get to exc ited ovber one not doing well and wo knows sometimes after a few more hundred rounds some have went back to the misfit ammo and it worked fine. Kahrs do smooth out, sometimes you can't feel it but it is smoothinbg itslef out . I always hate to bnlame ammo in kahrs for they are jst not an ammo sensitive gun, but it does happen. I have stated before my P380 would choke on 102 grain gold sabre ammo, so I just never bought it again, nor did I now even try to shoot it after many good rounds down range. I just had to many other good choices out thereto worry about one parrticular round.:behindsofa:
