View Full Version : Serious Problem with CW-40

Hello everyone,

I'm relatively new to guns. I've fired rifles and revolvers before, but this is actually my first handgun I use for recreation and home defense. After doing a lot of searching around, and handling guns, the Khar seemed like a good fit of form and function for my purposes, possibly including CCW in the future. I've put about 50 rounds through it thus far without any real problems.

However, I keep running into one big issue which is a deal breaker. The gun WILL NOT eject/un-chamber a round without jamming. Here's what I mean:

I've tried various brands of ammo and have the same problem. Is this a common problem with Khar? Is it something I should send in to get fixed? I would just appreciate some guidance here. I don't think I'm doing anything abnormal with the gun.

Read this thread. Talks about the same issue. I would be hesitant to call it a BIG issue but one that needs to be addressed.

Two schools of thought, fix it yourself as GB describes or call or email Kahr. Kahr will take care of it without question.

I think I would shoot a couple hundred more rounds before I even called to make sure all is good. It just might even improve on it's own.
