Seems that players are fighting more in major sports and the fans too. Is this on the increase or is it reported more?

Yo Adrian, Some drunk Philly fans threw flashlight batteries at a guy in a Santa suit at a recent Eagles foorball game...What do you expect from the city of brotherly love?
Wait a minute!!!
These two idiots wore their NY Rangers jerseys to GINO'S PHILLY STEAK... in Philadelphia.
That would be known as "instigating" a fight.

Not only is if getting filmed more often its definitely IS happening more frequently. Look at little league sports parents. WOW what is going on there is getting so bad many leagues are banning parents/family and even throwing out all fans to prevent melees. At my sons alma mater HS there are two BB teams whose fans are so bad that they games are closed to ALL fans period.

I wonder if you can carry a gun on the playing field with a permit. If I had to guess, I'd bet the NBA uniforms have a built-in holster and maybe the NFL too.

I lived in Philly for many years.Flyers and Rangers and the fans have been going at it for years. Everybody knows it, it's been that way since the flyers came into the league. All Philly, NY teams have a strong dislike for each other. It's just the way it is. I'm not saying the guy was right for clocking that guy, But if your stupid enough to wear a Rangers Jersey talking smack at Geno's steaks in South Philly your going to get hurt. Talk smack in Philly and Philly will smack you back. Do stupid things, play stupid games, win stupid prizes. These things just don't happen in Philly, people just like to think it does. Some seem to forget the beatings at the Raiders/49er game.

Sometimes peeps forget this is a free country and waering a different team shirt doesn't mean you can touch another person. You might experience free speech but the rest is out of control. Since when do games/sports become more important than being decent

Sports games have their roots in the most basic, primitive, instinct and hormone driven part of our nature. So it is unfortunately going to manifest in violent behavior. As Christian morals, respectful behavior, support for right behavior and friendly fair play continue to be stripped from our society, you are going to see more and more of this sort of behavior. I don't think it will be very far in the future before we start seeing the kind of anarchy and mob violence that we see in soccer games all over the world, happening in our football coliseums, etc.
But yeah, they were provoking.

I lost all interest in professional sports long ago. Give me a lake, woods, farm field or golf course for my money.

I can't imagine how anyone can play football on a golf course. Don't those sand traps slow down the passing game? Then again, it would be fun to watch.
And, I'm still trying to picture pro sports in the woods.
You do not want to know how bad this problem is in Europe. What happens in the U.S. is nothing compared with what happens there.

Ohhhhh we've seen the soccer riots. Nothing more fun than running down an official and murdering him. Except if you just want your ordinary two-day-town-destroying-rampage over a game that lasts for four hours and the score is tied at 0-0.
Yeah, those Europeans are soooo sophisticated.

And so many Americans nowadays want our country to be more like Europe, especially the Obamabots.

I'm gonna wear my Patriots sweatshirt to the office tomorrow just for the hell of it. If you don't hear from me again, I didn't make it back home alive.

You're a brave man. Where do you want your remains sent?:o
But why?
We could talk hours about it, but at the end we still would not be sure about what the reason is. To make it short, IMO many people believe that European countries are more civilized and developed than the USA. Some of them might also believe that people who live in those countries live in a true democracy and that they are truly free. In addition, some people also like the all-shall-have-the-same ideology which is very common in Europe and believe that a big government is the best for our country. This is only my opinion and it does not necessary mean that it is correct.

Well, I'm probably not going to do that again. Some body bruises and a couple of broken toes. Expected damage...didn't bother me much. But my boss' threat to not let me quit and make me keep coming to work until I died on the job really got my attention. :frown:

As many know gas prices are suppose to go up a dollar a gal soon. I always hear people say well we should not complain because in europe they pay $5 a liter. I never understood that reasoning.
