MK9 Trigger

At the top of the trigger, on my MK9, is a sharp edge. I have fat fingers, and after a short while, this sharp edge starts to bother me.
I noticed that the trigger on my K9 is made differently, and does not have the sharp edge.
I was wondering if it is possible to have a K9 trigger installed in my MK9. Appearance wise, they look real close, but I noticed the Kahr web site lists a different part number for each of them.

Couldn't you just file/sand/polish it a bit?

I have done that a little bit, but it looks like if I get too carried away, the trigger would go too far forward when released.
It looks like the top edge of the trigger uses the frame as a stop.
