I think it shows a couple of things. First off, I don't think he's well respected in Congress. Yeah he's trying to change things but I think he's so far off base from main stream America that he can't get enough people to buy into his way of thinking. I'll give him the fact that he's certainly persistent, but if I keep beating my head against a concrete wall, I may be consistent but brain damage may also be setting in (insanity) and the wall is still there. I like some of his ideas, but most of his ideas about foreign policy are so removed from my way of thinking, there is no way I can support him.

lopve the concrete wall thing kahrseye. I think that is Paul to a T, age doesn'thelp him either today, at 76, he would be 77 beforeoffice and over 80+ ifhe lived through it.
He's not electable, it would be a landslide for the great one!!! He is probalby THE ONLY ONE on both sides who wold adhere tothe constitution but as u know today we have interpeted the constution so far away from what it was written for that it seems to have no effect on either party in power. A shame but no one seems to give a rats ass about really doing anythig about it. WTF a NO BUDGET in over 2+ years. How in the hell does that work???
This seems to be both parties PLAYHOUSE and of course we are not allowed in:mad:

I was just trying to point out to the young people that support Ron Paul just how effective he has been as a legislator. He's the Dennis Kuchinich of the republican party. In most of his attempts at legislating he couldn't find a single co-sponsor for his bills.

Introverts have a hard time leading. I spotted this in him at the debates. He looked weak and unassertive. Too bad, he seems a nice guy with a handful of good ideas and a bunch of zany ones.

Ya and most young people get there news from The Daily Show with Jon Stewert. Does not look well for America's future.

Thanks for answering without feeling I was challenging you. I was not, just helps to know what the OP had in mind so that responses can be more on point.

Too bad main stream America's way of thinking is so far off base from The Constitution.
I agee he is unelectable, but he is probably the candidate our forefathers would have wanted and what The USA was originally about.

No problem, Bill. I don't take things personally. I just try to express my point of view and back it up with facts. I don't have anything against Ron Paul. I just don't see him as presidential material.

My resolution to avoid political discussions on KT is holding, barely - I don't want to get banned from the best gun forum on the net. Too bad the one about not buying anymore guns only made it five days. :(

Let's say it was a reasonable assumption. :)
