Interesting pistol. SIGs are good firearms, but IMO they are way too thick.

I'll take one of these, Barth, as soon as they come out in 9mm. Contact me for my FFL dealer info.

Sure to be a hit. I can see this moving into the Air Marshall's inventory. The ones shown are all DAK triggers. I wonder what the DA/SA feel like in the hand. The decocker has always felt wrong or in the way of my grip. But that's just me... Great guns. I think I'll keep my HK P2000sk and $1100 though.;)

I've been a SIG fan for thirty years, and they have always been among my favorite shooters. However, a pistol 6.7 inches long, 4.5 inches high, and weighing 25.4 ozs is not a subcompact. My full sized P220 45 only weighs three tenths of an oz more. This is not to say I wouldn't buy one someday, but not until they come out with a 45 cal.

I like the nickel model, sounds like a great pistol. I'm sure they'll sell well, especially amoung Sig fans. It's a little heavy and expensive for my liking. If I prefered to carry a reliable double stack that I can knock around I'd carry the G26 for about half the price. Retirement money doesn't buy what it diid a couple years back. I still like the comfort, reliablility and ergos of the single stack PM9 as an EDC pistol. If I lived in a busy city I might feel differently about carrying a single stack or at least and extra mag or two for the PM9.

I'm a SIG fan but not sure what I will think of this one. I like to carry the single stack SIGs (P220 & P239) because I prefer IWB. My P229 is primarily a house gun but occasionally gets carried OWB. I'll look at it when it's available but I can't believe it will feel good in the hand. I think it is one of the better looking releases from SIG in awhile. I'm only a fan of SIGs in the classic P-series "no-rail - no tail" configuration. This one fits that. As far as the price goes, those listed, of course are MSRP, and with some searching you can beat that. My last P220's MSRP was $1070 and I found one at $650 NIB.

But look here, http://sigsauer.com/TeamSig/Sweepstakes.aspx, and if you are lucky you will get one at a pretty good price.

Interesting pistol. SIGs are good firearms, but IMO they are way too thick.

I think it would be more of a winner if it was single stack. I'd go with the P239 over this.

I'll be picking up one of the SAS models as soon as they release it in DA/SA with the SRT trigger! :)
