I love my CM9

Accurate

No FTE or FTF in the last several hundred rounds

BUT...........

I have premature slide lock back mid mag that is occuring.

The spring looks to be in place.

It is using WWB ammo

I have seen where people have modded thier pistol to fix this, but it is unclear exactly to me how to do this exactly

I have looked threw the threads and see pictures, but am unsure which edge to smooth down and how much and what angle.

As a singer once said..... Somebody HEP me!

Lol

let another shooter shoot the gun, or better yet, shoot it left handed to see if by chance ur thumb might not be hitting that slide lock lever and u not knowing it. ihave uread the propper prepping of ur new kahr. It does give sme things to look for kwhen what u having is happening. U just need to eliminate the possable first and the ol thumb thing is certainly one that cause alot of it. WWB should be good to go. Check to see if that little screw on the side by the slide lock is SNUG, it will not fully tighten, so be careful there, snug is good... Only a few things can cause premature slide lock.

Thanks for the replies.

My grip is below the slide stop so i dont belive that was the issue.

I can see where the slide stop was impacting the bullet, after installing without
The slide.

I explained this to kahr and they asked me to send it in.
(they have obvviously seen the issue before)

I asked what the fix was and he said that they were going to a little polishing of the slide stop where its impacting the bullet.

Since the fix seemed clear to me, i told them i would try it myself, knowing that if i screw it up, i can always buy another one.

I used a jewelers file and then polished the area impacting the bullet.

It doesnt hit anymore

I will try it on the range when i get back from Europe next week.

The MIM part may need that extra area in the mold for stability.

After looking at the initial edge and how it impacts the magazine, i can see no true function of that extra matierial that is causing the problems.

It would appear that as long as there is enough "lip" that impacts the follower
After the last round, this pistol should function 100%
