Great show. Used to watch it during summer vacation with my grandparents. Brings back floods of memories.

Note the maximum prize... $80 and a carton of cigarettes. Games shows today give away tens of thousands of dollars, smoking is a taboo and cigarette commercials gone from the airways. A different world.

I too, watched the show, but I don't remember this one. I did remember the Colonel Sanders episode on the same page.

I was born in 1957 so I didn't see that episode but very much remember watching the show as a little boy...There was another game show that I was fascinated with for some reason called "The Match Game" and there was a bank of 25 or so boxes with numbers on the outside and 2 matching pictures on the hidden side...
The idea was to call 2 numbers and try to match the hidden pictures before the other contestant did...The funny thing was the boxes were all mechanical and made this clunk de clunk sound when they turned and about every 3 or 4 times the box would get stuck and you would see a guys hand stick out from behind and wrestle the box on around...No digital in those days, no sir all analog...
Funny how times have changed since those black and white days and quite often I don't think it's been for the better...
An amazing piece of history.

I don't think there's any question. I actually use to watch television in the fifties - I don't today.

During the same time that I was watching the I've Got a Secret show with my grandparents, we would catch The Match Game and also the Price is Right with Bill Cullen (with his old Crew Cut).
The Match Game was especially fun to play along with.

I remember watching the show, but not that particular episode. My earliest TV memories are of watching Howdy Doody and Captain Video. I can recall seing Kate Smith bringing the moon over the mountain. Geezus, am I really that old?

Maybe.:D
I just saw Jerry Mathers (the Beaver) on TV. He looks like he's 80, but he sounds like he's 10. When the Bev looks that old, yeah, we're getting up there with him.

I was born in 1956 and I do remember watching "To Tell The Truth". Winston was a huge television advertiser in those days.
