I wear levi low boot cut 527 jeans waist 32 and I can fit a pm40 in the pocket but the height of the gun is a tight fit and I have not tried with a holster just tried it at the range. I'm wondering for those who pocket carry in jeans what type of jeans you wear and have a comfortable fast draw of the gun. Thanks and God Bless. Jeff

I am using an uncle mikes pocket holster.
IMO pocket carry and fast draw are not compatable.
I REALLY like pocket carry for BUGs especially and for when other type carry just won't work.
The thing about pocket carry is that you can drop your hand into the pocket and grasp the gun , without drawing undo attention to yourself.
In the BUG role, it is getting used because the primary has been run dry, or broke, lost etc. or because it is more accessable than the primary.

Your 4th statement is exactly why I want to pocket carry, my slacks have larger pockets so I can start buying different jeans just seeing what others use. Thanks and God Bless.

I got those jeans on right now and mI carry my PM9 in a desantis pocket holster with ease. Mind u , not a fast draw area as u will know but it is with me 24/7

Kirkland jeans from Costco work great for me - 5'10 @ 160 pounds. However I much prefer and wear cargo pants a lot more which are great for pocket carry and I'm talking about the slash pockets not the cargo pockets.
From personal experience a draw from the pocket can be exceedingly fast if you've already got your hand on the gun. IMHO that is a very big plus/argument for pocket carry.

levi 550 work good. relaxed fit gives quicker draw & more comfortable when you sit down 34 waist

Routinely wear L.L.Bean relaxed fit and Wrangler relaxed fit jeans. Both work well with DeSantis Nemesis holster and CM9 or S&W BG380 in front left pocket.

As long as you can put your hand in the pocket and pull it out holding the gun you should be okay. You can have the pocket lengthened and reenforced very inexpensively, likely less than $15.

I normally wear Wrangler regular fit jeans becuae they provide some extra room for my equipment. But the front pockets are very short in them - so short that the back of the grip frame can easily be seen near the top edge of the pocket with both my CM9 and my J-frame.
I also have some Levi Select jeans and the pockets are deeper, closing up and not allowing the gun to be seen.
There are 2 things that make pocket carry not work for me:
Though with a proper pocket holster my CM9 doesn't print when I am standing, there is a overly large, not too gun-like bulge on top of my thigh when sitting. The J-frame is worse about printing and looking like exactly what it is.
I like rubber grips and grip sleeves, but they are a real hindrance when drawing a gun from your pocket. They are not as easy to slide your hand around. And if any little bit of it touches the inside of the pocket, the gun won't slide out and you end up struggling with a crumpled mess of gun and pocket liner that is really stuck. Now, the standard Kahr poly grip frames work perfectly in the pocket. But I don't want to be removing and replacing my Qwik-Grip all the time, so I have decided not to pocket carry either of my guns. Maybe an LCP or a CW380 (hoping:rolleyes:) later on for pocket carry, with no grip sleeve.

My Cm9 will go all the way in the back pocket of Dickies Carpenter jeans with a Holster Pro Gun Leather wallet holster, no go in front pocket. I also have a couple of pairs of EOTAC jeans I got on sale, they have nice big pockets.

I generally wear Lee relaxed bootcut jeans. Crazy thing is, all jeans are same make, but the pocket openings on all but one pair are too small for my PM9. The one pair that does accomodate pocket carry works extremely well. I'm gona try the pistol out in every pocket of jeans I buy from here on out, even if they're the same make and size.

Duluth Trading has jeans that have deep reinforced pockets and even have a nice sized dance floor.

Carpenter jeans and relaxed fit Lee are the only ones that work for me on the rare occasion I pocket carry. OWB inside the belt with a shirt or coat cover is my preferred carry method....holdin out for a cm380 for pocket carry.

I mostly wear arizona carpenter jeans and i have no problem fitting my cm9 with nemesis holster. Only issue I'm having right now is that the holster keeps wanting to come with the gun. I just got the holster so it probably needs broken in so the gun will slide out easier

I have exactly the same problems with pocket carry of the PM/CM, from the Wrangler pockets not being long enough to the big bulge when sitting. Another thing that annoys me greatly about front pocket carry of these guns is that if the pocket is big enough then the weight of the gun swings around as I walk and constantly bumps me in the leg. All those reasons are why I keep saying that the PM/CM is perfect for invisible IWB, but just to big for pocket.

Faded Glory from Walmart have nice pockets. Carry My CM9 and PM 40 either one in a desantis pocket holster & pretty much forget about it. I DO have a couple of pars of dockers with the short pocket syndrome as mentioned above, can see the top of the grip, and those pockets have a tendency to gap open. Try the pants on with your carry piece in the pocket. It's just a part of the "trying it on" process!!
