EDIT** This is a CW45

I noticed my trigger became stiff all of a sudden, I did a complete tear-down of the ploymer frame without any noticeable improvement. I also pulled the striker and found a TON of gold(brass) flakes all over it, clearly making it gritty to move.

Not sure why my trigger feels stiffer all of a sudden.

I did notice something odd in the grip frame, the ejector has 2 problems:
1. The front tip of it has a semi-circle inward on the left/outside of it.
2. Notice the back end of it-is there supposed to be a space between it and the frame?

Pictures are worth 1000 words:

Looks about the same as my PM40 viewed from the same angle.

Any idea as to why my trigger feels so stiff suddenly?

Define complete tear down of the polymer frame. Did you take the trigger and related components out?

Complete meaning everything removed including trigger

Never done that, but... is it possible the trigger spring is not in correctly?

Trigger was stiff before which was why I took it apart.

Trigger rotated very easily on the bar, not sure if I just have a bad spring

Hows the trigger without the slide on the pistol?

Tri gger its roughly the same. If I lock the slide back, the trigger literally feels like its crunching/spongy.

Your striker spring may also be gritty from the sounds of your last post.

Striker was ok when I took it apart, gave that area a cleaning as well when I had it apart.

I believe I have found the culprit--the trigger bar and trigger bar spring.

I took the side panel off and notice that as the trigger moved, the spring itself also slid back and forth. When I held it towards the front of the grip frame it went back to smooth without the crunching noise and grittiness.

I also noticed the bar had some uneven rubbing marks on it from the spring's hook, I used a qtip and some mothers to give it a little polishing, then I bent the bottom/back end of the trigger bar spring down a little and now it stays forward with a smoother pull.

I may call Kahr and see if they'll send me a new spring just in case, but for now I'm a little happier.
