Hello,

I've recently shipped back a faulty MK720 7rd magazine and asked for Kahr to ship me a MK620 6rd magazine. I'm having issues with this new magazine as well, perhaps someone on the forums can help me determine if it can be adjusted or if I need to ask for yet another magazine swap :(

When I load the new magazine completely into the gun, and then press the magazine release, the magazine will release, however I have to manually pull the magazine out with my hand with a generous amount of force. The magazine won't fall out of the pistol like it's supposed to, I even tried shaking the thing up and down violently, and it still won't come out on its own. The magazine is too big :(

I know they sent me the right magazine because to the naked eye it looks exactly the same as the one that came with the gun from purchase.

Is there any way to adjust the magazine that anyone knows of? Or should I send it back yet again and request a new one?

This is a true embarrassment to Kahr and their brand, I may give up the gun and just buy something else. I have attached a picture showing three magazines, one from Kahr, Springfield Armory, and a plastic $20 P99 pellet gun.

XD9 = $28.95 High Quality, Flawless Performance.
Plastic P99 = $5 Plastic Quality, Flawless Performance.
Kahr = $40.00 No exact fit and gotta love the welding job on the back!

I just don't understand how a toy gun manufacturer can make a magazine that looks nice and functions flawlessly, while a real gun manufacturer who makes weapons for self defense can't make magazines that function properly. It's just embarrassing, I wish I could somehow help Kahr with this problem and help them make better products.

Thank you all for having this forum!

Csmither,

Strip out the base, spring and follower. Slip the empty mag shell up into the gun and you'll see a slightly fatter area just below the feed lips.

Place the shell into a vice and give her a very gentle squeeze. Fit again into the gun and repeat as necessary. It's a very tiny adjustment.

Reassemble and do a function check and you should be good to go.

I've done this on almost every mag I have. All the mags drop free with no issues.

There are tons of threads on here describing the process far better than I have.

Hope it helps.

Sweet that did it, hopefully it'll run flawless when I test it at the range soon, thank you very much!

YaY.... another satisfied customer.

The mags I got from CDNN were all flawless, but I've had issues with other mags - 1911 mags - and had to resort to the vice squeeze maneuver.

i hear ya, what good is a pistol if the magazines suck, i have a cracked 6 round mag i havent sent back yet but bought replacements, if either replacement cracks i'm selling the gun(pm9) because i feel unless they completely redesign their mag they will continure to be an issue. love the pistol but hate the mags
