At least I've been told I was on another forum. I'm selling a SA Milspec to buy one of these newfangled CW45's.

The 1911 has always been heavy and uncomfortable to me. I handled a CW45 today, and I felt like I knew what had to be done. Clear out the safe queen and buy the Kahr. I know conventional wisdom seems to be that I'm really a confused guy, but I liked how the CW45 felt, I loved the trigger, and it just seem right.

Am I wrong? Or will you guys have to put up with me soon?

I never condone getting rid of a 1911 but I'm certain you'll love the CW45.
Nice and flat, carries very well. I think you'll be pleased but some day you'll regret the loss of your 1911 and another will be coming home with you.

As to your mental stability, I'm not the one to ask, being somewhat questionable myself.

Yes, you are nuts. You should have gotten the CW45 much sooner than now.

You're nuts for selling the 1911.
If you decide to continue to be nuts and don't list the 1911 for sale on this forum, you 're nuts.
Aside from that, welcome to the best firearm forum on the interwebs.

Number 1: Listen to Jocko!

Obviously the better choice would be to keep both. However, the decision to keep a pistol that you won't carry vs one you will is also obvious. I have a lot of expensive pistols, but when the choice of which one I would rather carry came up, 90% of the time it was my CW40. I prefer a 45, so three weeks ago I bought a CW45. I have put almost 300 trouble free rounds through it and it is now ready to replace the 40. They're close enough to the same size that I can use the same holster for both.

You will be just fine.....you are not nuts. I am not a big fan of the 1911 myself. Ruger P90 and S&W 457 are my cups of 45acp tea. hpg

Getting rid of a 1911 does not compute...unless it's a Llama.

Love my stainless Springer GI .45.

Easy with that Llama bit. I have have one, and it shoots. Won many a range bet with it too. Parts are a might hard to find though.

I had one of their .380s back in the '70s. Durn thing broke after 100 rounds.

Well there's your problem. I had one of them for the wife, and it ran fine, but she didn't like it and we couldn't find mags for it, so it went. Currently, I have the full sized .45, like I said, not a problem with it.
