First time out for my new P45.

Went to the range today for monthly training. Remembering the P45 (just happened to bring along) I talked a buddy out of some ball ammo. Did a quick clean, and just fired off what I had loaded in the two factory mags the night before (Fed HST 230gr JHP). No problems. Next goes 100 rds of WWB ball. 2 - Fail to feed. I believe both were the second rnds in both mags. Happened the first 20 rnds. Good cleaning again. 200 rounds and not a damn hiccup! Shot 2 more mags od the FED HST's and good to go. I love this gun already... Only nick pick ----- Mag wont drop empty most the time. Nephew is going to polish the mags like glass. LOL... Oh! And I was getting nice tight groups with that HST. :86:

Excellent report and welcome to the forum! Glad it went so well for you. HST is a good round, one I use for carry.

and check ur agazines . see the kahr tech section under propper preppingof ur kahr and read on how to see if thge mag release button might be grabbing on that mag follower and causing some issues. Normalloy at round 2/3 this could be an indication of that occuring. easily correctable, easily testable to. take 5 minutes to check oput. might save ur life someday.

Second time out I encountered a problem with Hornady JHP.. My Kahr hates them. Bullet shape has something to do with feeding. Oh well! Sticking with HST.. My P45 is broke in! Yippeeeee!!!! Oh! My shot grouping is awsome with this gun. I like it.

Arloc1959, they only get better with time.
I got mine after a local LEO traded it in (said it recoiled too much for him) and I let it sit in the case for over a month telling myself I didn't need a 45. Then one day the owner, knowing I love my Kahr's, told me to go shoot it. So I put 18 rounds through all three mags and had one ragged hole about the size of a snuff can at 25 feet. Naturally I had to buy it after that.
By the way, mine runs flawlessly with Speer GD 230 jhp.

Wow. New to the forum myself and waiting on a relpy to a post I just posted with simular issues. Why doesn't he just send it back for repair. Sounds like Kahr support is top notch. I'm calling tomorrow for a return authorization. Glad I read this thread and a few others.
