View Full Version : Still planning on a Kahr .45...

Leaning toward the CW45. I know I was all gaga over the PM45, but I think the CW would be a better choice for me. However, I've promised myself no new guns until my office renovation is done. The price of a CW45 would almost pay for my electrician's labor. Gotta be strong.
Wait, SHOT show is this week. I wonder if Kahr is coming out with anything new...
Analysis leads to paralysis

I haven't shot a PM45 but my CW45 is very comfortable to shoot. I think the PM45 would be rather snappy. It is very concealable though.

It's really not. The recoil is very managable. More of a strong push than a flip.
Kicks no more than an Officer's ACP, or Commander
I have been looking at a PM45 for a long time now. I think it would make a very good carry gun.

It would indeed carry wonderfully. But my hands would prefer to shoot something with a little more grip. One could get a higher capacity magazine or pinky extension for a PM45, but then you'd lose half the size advantage (the other half being barrel length). Those are just my own thoughts...

My thinking is to get a CW45 now that they are such a bargain, going for < $350 shipped. Then wait for the CM45 to be on the market long enough for the price to settle down to or below $400. I know I'm a miser, but I get additional pleasure thinking about how great a bargain I got in a gun.

When Sparkys done at your house send him to my place. I need lights and heat in my detached garage too. Tired of extension cords and plugs. Want switches and outlets and warm would be very good too.

He he. All I'm paying Sparky to do is run new service from the house to the garage and "pull" (as they say) some wire from the new panel to all the devices. I've already bought and am installing all the lights, boxes, switches, and panel box. Let's say Sparky is charging me a CW45, a spare mag, and three boxes of WWB.

I got a quote one time to wire my garage with lights but no heat as I recall. All I really remember is it's a good thing I was already sitting down.
It was some where in the neighborhood of a sack full of CW45's with a couple more sacks of extra mags and semi load of WWB.
I used to have alot of solid contractor connections when I was one but being away so long, I've lost most of them. I could use a good plumber at a reasonable price too but we know that ain't gonna happen.
Had one of those on retainer too but haven't been able to find him. He was a gun guy and hunter too, heck of a good plumber too.

The PM is a pussycat. I used to carry mine all the time in jacket pockets, up until it got stolen. I have a CW45 now, but I'm still waiting for a CM45 or maybe a MK45. I'd love to have either one or both.

I think my Mag-na-ported P40 still has more recoil than my PM45.
