Hello Everyone. I purchased a used Kahr CW45 and would like to replace all the springs. I have always changed out my other guns with Wolff springs.

My question is what other Kahr models are the same as the CW45 so I can shop around for springs.

I know I can go to Kahr and purchase but I've always liked Wolff.

I don't see any springs for that particular Kahr on the Wolff site (http://www.gunsprings.com/index.cfm?page=items&cID=1&mID=29).

That is a surprise because Kahr uses Wolff springs to build their products.

With any luck one of the Kahr .45 ACP mavens will have a better answer. :o

Agree with jocko... Kahr has a spring kit for your CW45. Probably your best option if you are looking at replacing them all:

$44.00 for the spring kit or $175.00 for a factory tuneup may appeal to you well heeled fellows, but not to poor folks like me.

Anyone looking for springs direct from Wolff might be looking for the least cost solution. Allow me to suggest buying just the recoil spring by itself from Kahr (http://www.kahr.com/Pistol-Parts/Kahr-005CW45-Recoil-Spring.asp) for $8.80 plus shipping of course. Maybe buy a couple to reduce the pain. ;)

Aren't the P45 springs the same as the CW45 springs?

Should be. And, they are the same cost on the Kahr web site.

Maybe. I would say, "definitely a reasonable expectation" . . . but, hey who am I?

Well I knew they had "some" springs for non-captive guide rod Kahrs... just couldn't remember which.

Aren't the P45 springs the same as the CW45 springs?

One would think so however, I have a CW45 that I bought new and also a P45 that I bought used and installed a new recoil spring bought from Kahr. The P45 spring as installed in my P45 is definitely stiffer than the CW45 spring. Maybe the additional machining on the P45 slide that makes it about 2 oz. lighter than the CW45 has something to do with that. Just guessing on that. :)

I read somewhere that a guy used a Glock flat spring as a replacement for his CW45. He wanted a heavier spring and one that lasted longer than 800 to 1000 rounds.

I decided to try it out and found that a G19 captured spring on a SS rod fit perfectly. It functions great by hand cycling. Wonder if I should try it out at the range?
