On Outdoor Channel's SHOT show TV, Michael Bane talks about the CM40 and says "Kahr has redefined their trigger system, so they have an enhanced trigger that's available on their higher dollar PM series 9mm - it is a super trigger"

Right about 5:35 Mike starts talking about the Kahr on his Day 1 SHOT show report:

It's only going to be available on the models with the manual safety. That is from kahr. It is also posted on the PM9, PM40 and P9 with manual safety product pages.

Did you notice the change to the 7 round mag baseplate?

exactly what I had stated a few days back and now confirmed. It will only be available on the guns with external safety, and my understanding the P9 will not be available until maybe fall.. Makes sense:32:

Is there any chance the "enhanced" parts could be fitted in traditional versions?

LOL.... I just love the way he closed the slide... then inserted the magazine... then slingshot the first round into the chamber..... defiantly breaking the manual of arms that his employer has dictated upon us all.

How does the enhanced trigger differ over the standard trigger or is this a lame excuse to bring out a so called new model?

I believe the enhanced trigger is slightly shorter. thats it. Kahr is introducing these new models specifically to be for sale in MA, although u dont have to live in MA to buy them.

I agree with you CJB. That was very foolish of the rep in the video, considering they stress not to do it. We all know it can be done, but come on now...

This is a nice development for those who prefer shorter triggers. I prefer the standard one, as I think it provides extra safety. I'm most surprised by the design of the safety though. I've never seen a pistol where the safety has to be pushed up to disengage it. Seems counterintuitive and dangerous IMO.

He does do it with a downloaded magazine, which is something they do recommend. http://www.kahr.com/faq.asp#q10

FWIW, many slide mounted safeties work in this manner (up to fire). Ruger's new .22 does so as well with a frame mounted safety. I don't like that and the new Ruger will not be a purchase I make.

he might also be very very skilled at gun techniques to. He sure looked likehe knew how to rack a slide, and IMO that gun wasnot new out of the box either..

we alittle to picky on this guy I think.
