I just bought a brand new CM9 a couple of days ago and noticed a "B" on the front left side of the trigger guard. I searched and couldn't find anything on this and can't see it in other people pictures. What is the "B" mean?

It means blemish. Usually is some type of cosmetic flaw, like imperfect engraving. My PM9 is a "B" and the only thing I can tell is the engraving on the slide is very shallow compared to my P9. It should not affect function at all.
Edit: As I looked at your pic, it looks as if the "R" is a little oblong which left a small ridge. No big deal.
Usually the most obvious blemish is a big ol'frikkin' "B" stamped on the left side of the trigger guard...

The "C" kind of runs into the M9, too. Cosmetic. It should have cost less than the going rate for a CM9. Today at the gun show here I saw the CM9's selling for $439.99 to $450.
I haven't been watching for B's or U's to see if unscrupulous dealers are selling them for full regular price.

IF you paid more than $350 for it new then I would go back to the shop you got it from and explain that you had no idea it was a factory second. That should have been disclosed and should have lowered the price 20-25% in my opinion.

New CM9s are going for $350.00 on CheaperThanDirt.com right now. Blemished models would be much less, I would think.

all blemished models sold do carry kahrs 5 year warranty, most cannot even find the blemish, othger than the " stamp.. I would buy one in a heartbeat if the price was right.

think 20-% could be in the ball park, but alot depends on the buying price of the seller to. I would think blems would be offered to the bigger distrubutors to take a certain amount at this price and then they can discount them to dealers. I would suspect kahr doesn't have alot of blems either, not somthing they strive for in production, but IMO eats throwing them in the waste bins. I often wonder what the other gun makers do with their blems/discards etc.

TS:
Put a CT laserguard on there and no one will ever see the big 'B'.

Just remember the "B" on your pistol will also affect the resell if you decide to resell or trade it later.

I can't find anything wrong with it, besides the stamping issues that some have pointed out and even those aren't as bad as the pictures make them out to be, and my last name initial is "B", so I think it's neat.
I'm sure it will be more blemished soon, as it's a carry gun, not a museum piece.
I paid $356 shipped + $15 transfer.
But, I'm still going to see what I can get out of the dealer off gunbroker, because he failed to list it as blemished. Nothing was even stamped or written on the box/label.
EDIT: The seller contacted me and offered to replace it or refund $50, I took the $50. I am happy with that.
Quick unrelated question...Did your slide release come like? It looks like it might have been deburred.

it has been a great gun and i have no regrets. Shame on the seller...he should have told, i still would have bought it!

I think it was unintentional, they have both on their website (Except the blemished is $347) It looks like the person listing the item on Gunbroker just failed to include the blemish caveat like on their website. They were really easy to deal with, and offered me a brand new unblemished one shipped to me, and paid return shipping, or $50, and I felt that $50 was fair and less hassle.

It looks like your engraving is a little deeper than mine on your slide. I actually like yours better. I would have taken the 50 bucks option too. You did good.

I have a "B" marked K9. I call it my Best deal marked gun. It was. Works like a champ. I'd do it again.

wow a blem PM9 for $347, that is a steel. If u want a peace of furniture, BUY FURNITURE. If u want a working gun, kahrs are just that. For $347, a fool is a fool is a fool to not buy it. same warranty, and if u buy a new perfect P9 and shoot it a 1000 rounds, it will more than likely look like a blem, so why not start out with a blem and not have to worry about it..
being my first name starts with a B, I would say it was made just for me.

OK, what's the mod? Paint? I like it!
I'm pissed, my name starts with a B too, I didn't know they came engraved!
Mine should have had a B on it, the ejection port looks like it was ground out by Stevie Wonder. Oh well, must be why it shoots so good!

It's glow in the dark paint from GloNation... 1oz does hundreds and hundreds of sights or anything you want... I use it on alot of my cheaper guns or ones that I can't get night sights for.
1. Clean sights with Alcohol
2. Use toothpick or pointy paint brush, and let dry, then reapply. Last forever.

Any truth to the rumor (the one Im trying to start) that the "B" imprinted on the Kahr frame indicates the firearm was personally inspected by "Bawanna"? :D

Are the prices really that much lower for the "B" since I'm starting to see the CM9 for around $350 new without the "B"?

Wow... no, double wow! Great deal and a great dealer. I suggest you post the seller's name. I'd buy from a seller that did that.

I bought it off Gunbroker from Grabagun.com, but they have both models on their website.
