Time to start rumors. I haven't seen Bawanna post anything recently. I think he will blame it on weather but has anyone heard a rumor where he REALLY IS???
Is he making some really detailed grips?
Is his wife after him about his "wanted dead or alive" purchase?
Where's Melissa?
Did Jocko send him a gift?
Cats away so the mice will play......... :banplease:

He lost his Mare's Leg while pushing snow and the entire Bawanna clan are melting every square cm of the plantation until they find it and put it back in the case. Oooo this is going to be fun! :D

I heard from JohnH and he told me Bawanna went on a fishing trip (that's what they're call it). In truth, he's spending a week under cover at GT, trying to find out who the Kahr conspiracists are. He's taking names and gonna kick some ass. Apparently next week he'll be at the site of Top Shot. GO BAWANNA!

The truth of the matter is that Bawanna is down in his dungeon whittling away on a pair of grips with embedded Navy fouled anchor pins for my 1911. Right now he doing the checkering at 22 lines per inch, so as not to chafe my tender palms. I told his wife that she can let him out of the dungeon when the final coat of tung oil has dried.

Well boys and girls it's been an ugly week in bawannaville. Snow, lots of freezing rain, wind. No power for a couple days and worst of all no internet which means no kahrtalk. that totally sucks.
On top of that when the power browned out and finally went completely it took my home computer with it. Son made it to town and they got it to run again but strongly suggested a new one so I gotta a whole new system to learn which might not be all bad since I think its the same as I'm getting at work. Hopefully I get to catch up before they install it.
I have not been outside since last sundays gun show. Did get some reloading done and some quality man cave time although I was dressed like nanook of the north.
I got a bunch of PM'd issues so I'll work on some of those as I catch up.
I missed you terribly.

It's great to have you back! :)
I would suggest that you invest in an APC Uninterruptible Power Supply for the computer and necessary peripheral gear... modem/router, etc. A battery-backed UPS will allow you to shut down the computer or you can set it up to be done with the software after saving everything. Hard power offs... losing power is very hard on electronic equipment, especially those in use at 5,400 to 10,000 RPM or more!
I have about a dozen units... and every piece of electronics in the house is protected.
I say APC because they know what they are doing and outfits like Cyber Power aren't up to the task... from the two units or so that I tried "saving money" on over APC units.
Anyhow... one of my favorite safeguards... very handy to keep from losing data and settings... and allow continued operation if needed.
Again... glad you're back!

Welcome back Boss! Glad you survived the blizzard sort of intact. Standby generators are worth their weight in gold when you need them.

I have a big 15KW generator that will power my home AC and other stuff as I need and switch off things like the hot water heater and the range, since my largest outlet... 50AMPS@240V only permits 13KW to my home breaker panel with home-made safety disconnect to prevent backfeed either way!. You really need UPS's with generators... very large voltage swings and frequency drift are possible with generator surges. Delicate electronics can be quickly fried on generator power alone.

Welcome back!
I'm going to third or fourth on the UPS for your computer stuff. It has saved my work computer I don't know how many times.
