I'm a Life member, and whole heartedly believe that all gun owners should be members. Think of the size of that voting block! If the Dem's stay in control, you better believe they're going to try to trample our 2A rights. For the cost of a box or two of ammo, you can be an annual member. The magazine and gun insurance that you get alone is worth it.

I switched to Gun Oweners of America after the NRA caved on some issue. I don't rmember what it was, but I was upset.
But you are right, you should belong to the NRA or GOA or SOME gun lobby. You should also join your states Gun Lobby.

I agree. I am a Life Member of the NRA, as well. You need to be a member of some organization that will fight for your rights. If not, who will?? It is money well spent.
They make life membership fairly easy on you if you look for for the specials..Besides you get a magazine and other perks. Cheap insurance, as far as I'm concerned..

Thet I can understand that one. The NRA messed up in my state as well, came real close to messin up good changes to our carry laws.

What kills me is the rating they give to politicians who vote against my gun rights...

They are the biggest voice in pro-gun rights there is, and a tremendous force to be reckoned with.

I signed up my wife last month when I renewed my membership for 3 years.

I fyou ever thought about doing it, it is seriously the time to do it now.

While I agree that there is no "Perfect" organization that protects our rights, the NRA is still feared by the gun graber politicians. For that reason alone, I'll support them.

been a lifer since 60's, don't agree with all things but they are far far ahead of any OTHER GUNB ORGANIZATION OUT THERE. support others if the need is there but if u boycott the NRA and pay to others, IMO ur loosing the power that no gun organiszation has except the NRA.

Legislaters and our liberal ass politicians fear the word NRA. one doesnt hear them saying the fear these other organizations..

I fear Wayne LaPierre and wonder why he's worth his $1.2 Million salary.

I'm unclear as to why you're afraid of LaPierre.
As far as his salary, it would be considered minimum wage level in New York and L.A.

I have been an NRA member since 1960. I just bought a membership for my girlfriend. I do wish they would quit sending me all that junk mail.

Benefactor...if there was a higher level, I'd be that.

You can opt out of a lot/most of the junk mail....don't quite remember how, though.

+1 on that Dueeast. I've been an NRA life member since 1972 and no other organization even comes close to supporting our 2A rights like the NRA. The NRA is the gun lobby.

+P+ on Wacko Wayne...Any organization that pays him anything has serious issues. BTW, I am an NRA member.
