Hi there!
I just picked up a CW9 today - my first Kahr. I sold my Keltec PF9 to buy the Kahr and can already tell that I did the right thing. My older son is also getting a CW9 on Wednesday and we have an appointment to go and perforate some paper and cardboard on the weekend.
I've already done the Proper Prep from the sticky and I'm glad such a resource exists. I also did one extra thing that wasn't listed - I sanded off all of the polymer threads/strings that were still attached at various points to make the whole thing smoother.
Now, about me. I'm an OF, retired from Gummint work, married and have two grown sons. Older son is a grad student and younger one is a Gunsmith.
Nowadays I work part-time at a pawn and gun shop for fun and pocket money. This allows me to spend even more of my income on guns than I would otherwise. :D But it mostly keeps me out of trouble.
Previously I've primarily owned Sigs and still have a number of them kicking around the house. I didn't like their small guns and the new P224 is just too dang expensive. I was playing with a CW40 at work and liked the way it felt but I don't like .40 cal rounds - I prefer 9mm. I found a source for some blem CW9's at a great price so I ordered three of them. One for my older son, one for me and one for stock. Seemed like a reasonable thing to do.
So, that's my intro. Glad to meet y'all and I'm sure I'll be hanging around here quite a bit.
Oh yeah, I tend to ramble sometimes...
