I recently picked up the CW9 and love it. It's amazingly light, the trigger is the best DAO I've used, and it's surprisingly accurate (probably due to that amazing trigger). I live in a state that allows concealed carry and have my sights set on a crossbreed IWB for my CW9. I know this is a very popular holster for Kahr models and I'm wondering if any one has any insight on which crossbreed to get for my CW9. They make the SuperTuck, MiniTuck, and QwikClip for the CW9 and all seem to have there pros and cons. I'm a smaller framed guy with a 31 inch waist and I usually wear relatively fitted clothing. Any advice?

Maxtuck from www.whitehatholsters.com (http://www.whitehatholsters.com)

Check it out.

Same concept as crossbreed in fact identical however you can by different kydex shells and use the same holster for multiple guns. You just take off one kydex shell and install the other. Also you are not limited to black on black. The have horsehide or cowhide depending on your climate or taste.Aswell as 6 different color options. And the kydex you can get in many different patterns and colors.

I have both holsters and the maxtuck is by far the superior choice in every aspect.

I have the mini-Tuck for the PM9 w/CTC, it's about 70% the size of the SuperTuck and I find it very comfortable once you get used to the width, which is what stabilizes and dissipates the weight of the gun. It feels different than any other holster you've used, about like slipping a small softback book (reporters notebook) down the back of your pants. I'm not a big fan of the steel clips which gouge nice belts. In this case I recommend the J-Clip option. I normally go with full over the belt clips but the friction provided by the rough side out option keeps the weight from sagging pants and J-Clips are much easier to don.
I also have a Super-Tuck for my Glock and couldn't imagine using that large of a holster for the little Kahr.
I know the CW is slightly larger than my PM9 but the SuperTuck just takes up too much realestate in my opinion for compact guns and I'm MUCH larger than you (38" waist.)
Because of it's size and the friction it takes to put it on, I basically have to drop trou to get in it. So, I use my CB Mini Tuck when I know I'm going to be able to carry all day. I'm currently shopping for a different rig for times when I know I'm going to be on/off frequently.

I got the QwikClip for Glocks and never made friends with it. I guess I'm just not an IWB guy but; this holster, with it's single clip, did not stabilize the gun(s) even with an extra tight belt. I chose the QwikClip as the other models seemed to have too much hardware and bulk, but I think that second clip makes a real difference.

Great workmanship and good customer relations; the QwikClip just didn't work for me.

BTW:google "crossbreed seconds". Mine looked new (OWB for a J-frame) and I got it in about 8 days.

Good luck, enjoy the Kahr.

I called CB before placing my order. They recommended the SuperTuck for me & my CW9. I love it!

I'm using a Galco King Tuk for my IWB carry of my CW9. I researched the CrossBreed brand and went with the Galco which was nearly the samething. Optics Planet had the best price where I bought mine. Also available at Cabela's, no waiting.

MiniTuck is perfect for the Kahr. I use a SuperTuck Delux for my G23. Go with the horsehide- its worth the extra $10.

I used the Crossbreed Qwikclip for a bit just before I sold my CW9 and loved it. I had a 2 clip type IWB and it was a pain to remove in the car or even at home without fighting it and nearly taking your pants off. The Quikclip was on or off qiuckly as the name implies by just loosening my belt and the larger (wider) clip did just fine for me. It was also much more comfortable. Easy to draw from and resonable to reholster.

It's for sale by the way since I no longer have the CW9. http://kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?p=128458#post128458

Just wanted to add that if you want two clips and easier on/off the Comp-Tac Minotaur goes on and off a bit easier and is a little more compact than the SuperTuck as it has less rough side out material to stick against you when you try to slide it in place. Getting the supertuck on is like wrestling a greased gator with one hand.
