I just picked up a new CM9 a week ago. I've been using the Remington UMC ammo to break it in. About 70+ rounds through it so far. Had 3 FTF, and one misfire. I don't think the misfire was the CM9, as the primer had a good strike on it. Most rounds were low and to the left in the beginning at 7 yards. As I slowed down, I was able to get more in the 9-10 ring. I think this is just me getting used to a different trigger - I'm used to my XD 9mm SubCompact, and the "dot the i" sights. I picked up some Pearce grip extensions - love them, have them on my XD, and I think they do wonders for guys with larger hands. Love how the CM9 slides right into a DeSantis pocket holster. Very comfortable to wear. One issue I did notice was the extractor doesn't seem to lay flush with the slide. Is this normal?

Welcome to KahrTalk. Best of luck with your new CM9.
If your talking about the extractor not being flush with a round in the chamber then it is normal.

If there is a round in the chamber, the extractor will not lay flush with the slide (normal). Think of it as your loaded chamber indicator :)
Dang, beat me to it!

Mine is also sticks out just a little bit when the chamber is empty, and my gun has been %100 flawless.

Same here, barely noticeable, it's normal.

Just back from the range. Put about another 150 rounds through the CM9. Prior to going to the range, I cleaned every nook and cranny on the gun. No FTF, or FTE this time. After the first 12 rounds, I noticed every shot was on the left side of the target. I had the gun shop make an adjustment on the rear sight, and BINGO! It's now on target! I would trust this gun as my daily carry after today. The Pearce extensions also helped a lot. Feels a lot more comfortable. Just wish that small gap between the extension and the handle wasn't there. There's a slight "pinch" (not painful, just... surprising) after the first round. All in all... VERY HAPPY.

Welcome to the Kahr community.
If you want to get the entire thing clean (although I didn't do it until about the 700-800 round mark), here is a video detail stripping the slide. I found some brass shavings in the striker channel although I am sure this is normal.

Even though it's for a K9, the slide is assembled in the same manner. Know that pretty much every spring in the gun is under high tension since it's so small. Be sure to keep your hands near it to prevent the springs from disappearing forever.
I'm sure that strike was just a dud round. Mine has a very intense striker spring and always gives a very solid dent in the primer. It hits harder than my Ruger SR9c and my Beretta 90 two. It is comparable to my Rock River AR15, but not quite that hard...

Mine used to stick out, but then I had it circumcised. Oh, never mind, pay no attention, you were talking guns. :)
