New to the forum and I just purchased my first Kahr a CW45 and I want to thank those who put in the information on the proper prep. I followed the information and took it out yesterday I ran 100 rounds of ball ammo with 1 FTF and then ran about 15 rounds of Federal Hydra-Shoks no problem. I am very pleased with it so far seems to be very accurate and recoil not bad. I have been reading through the forum and I have found a lot of useful information already.

oh yes this forum is very full of "it".
NICE REPORT, possably the ftf could even be a tired shooter 100 rounds of 45 ammo might tend to over work the shooter a tad. Still a good report. welcome aboard, but not on the CONCORDIA.

And Welcome to the forum Wojo. Glad you read and followed the proper prep and your results show it.
If you want to see what's going on inside that gun take a look at this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYRHpolEC_Y&feature=results_video&playnext=1&list=PL4CE3FEA6B5DB7930). Understanding the mechanics helps understand some of the support comments expressed.

Thanks for the video link. I guess I should have changed my login to wojo45 at least. Yes shooting 100+ rounds in short period of time could very well be a reason for a FTF possibly just weak hold but I was pleased I did not have any other problems with possible exception of getting hit in the head by flying brass. Excited about getting back out there and at least getting in another 100 rounds but so far very happy with my purchase.

The hit in the head with brass quite often indicates a lax hold. My PM45 with hit me anytime I'm the slightest bit sloppy with my hold. I consider it a wake up call. I still say gosh darn and shucks and stuff when it happens though.

Welcome Wojo. I agree that Kahrs seem to multiply. I own a CW45, a CW9 and a CM9. They have all been reliable and surprisingly accurate for their sie.
Welcome !~
Always room for another .45acp shooter...
