can i file the sharp edges on my cm9

Notice a few sharp edges on my cm9. Around the ejection port and the notches up front where the slide ride the frame. Could i just file these down a bit with a small fine metal file? Anyone else done this?

slide realy does not ride on the frame, U might just take some 600+ grit paper aqnd smooth any ruffness dow but otherwise the action of the slide will smooth things our very nicely. My ejection port ohn my Pm9 acquired a sharp burr right on the pointed end of the barrel hood, One time filing and smoothing and it never came back..

Sharp edges really bothered me, and the one at the front of the port is VERY sharp! A little metal removal, some careful sanding and some buffing.

(pictures are BEFORE fully polished and cleaned up)
