I am having difficulty determining the best way to conceal a CW 45. We live in ahot climate and shorts are worn most of the year. I rarely wear a belt with shorts, and that limits my carry options. It seems like most of the better holster rely on a belt. Has anyone has success with concealed carry in hot climates where shorts and T-shirts are worn? Is the CW .45 perhaps too big to conceal with so little clothing worn year-round?
thanks

There is a holster I am looking into if they have it for the cm9, check out www.tactipac.com and click on the fusionpac and watch the video, the guy is a little long winded but the holster looks pretty nice.

The CW45 is definitely too big for a pocket. Along with my CW40 and several other guns, I carry my CW45 in a belt holster under an untucked shirt or jacket. I don't do IWB carry, but that sounds like what you are talking about. Maybe a Remora IWB holster would work for you.
In the conditions you describe, I would have my PM9 or LCP in a pocket.

I am in florida and mostly wear shorts. I don't know the brand of my holster so unfortunately I can't point you to the same holster, but look around for some IWB holsters that have a basic metal clip. Mine works great with athletic shorts and no belt. I also have a remora that works fine too.

I have a similar one made out of denim. Might be more comfortable. It is called the SmartCarry (http://www.smartcarry.com/). The owner and a young woman put full size 1911s in there and you can't tell they are packing heat at all.

Yeah, I've got one of those too, but I don't think I've ever used it. Maybe I need to pull it out and try it.

I am 6'-1" 200 lbs and have carried my PM-9 with a spare mag and small flashlight in a Smartcarry holster every day for several years under all kinds of clothing. The concealment is great, not even my wife can tell when I am carrying even when I ask her to try, but I wouldn't want to carry anything larger. It might be the way I am built, long waisted, or the amount of time I spend sitting, but i think a larger gun would make sitting uncomfortable.
Great product, great concealment!

If you are willing to become accustomed to carrying a 22 oz weapon on your body, you can become accustomed to wearing a belt.
If not, try a fanny pack.
I'm in Florida and shorts & T-shirt with a concealed sidearm is no big deal.

Welcome to the forum, Skyracer! :)

Yeah, I don't wear mine much. When I do, I use suspenders and don't wear a belt so I can reach and draw the gun easily. Normally, I wear a belt cinched up pretty tight. Skyracer is talking about wearing shorts without a belt, and IMO the SmartCarry would be ideal.

I think that it would be comfortable sitting, even with a large gun, because of the position that the gun sits in. The muzzle sits inward from your leg so there is no binding when seated.
Plus, the CW45 is not a large gun. Skyracer, I am highly reccomending the SmartCarry for your carry needs. They are available right or left handed, and in different sizes. The website is a bit confusing about sizing and stuff. I'd call and let them walk you through it. They have a 60 day money back guarantee and a LE/military discount.

Another +1 for the SmartCarry. If my CW45 must be hidden, that is what I wear.

Another +1 for SmartCarry. Used it for years to carry in a non-permissive environment but have only used it once since retiring almost 2 years ago.

Agree, to carry IWB, you have to have a belt or good suspenders. Without support, that gun will sag more and more until it's very obvious you have something going on. So, if you want to dress your way, get the gun off the shorts and onto a self supporting holster rig. Concealed carry is popular and there are others out there. This search page (https://www.google.com/search?q=self-supporting+concealed+holster) will get you started.

Love the Smartcarry...but I have a 34" waist and thighs like a linebacker so there is little extra room in my pant leg even when I where a size 36.
I wear pleat front chinos and a tucked in dress shirt all day every day (the pleat front really makes sure there is no printing of the gun). Smartcarry works great for me, but there is no room for me to let a bigger gun go down the pantleg. I would prefer to carry a P45...just can't manage good concealment with my normal attire.
