I ran around 100 rounds of WWB through the Boberg, the only problems was sometimes I didn't pull the slide back far enough and the cartridge didn't feed. It's not the easiest gun to clear jams. I think I had one FTF while shooting. Otherwise it ran great. It really liked the Hydra Shoks I ran through it. It's certainly not a target pistol, but good enough for SD situations.

I was a bit disapointed in the M&P Pro 5" barrel. It didn't group as well as I would have liked, I think it probably needs to have quite a few rounds through it before it starts grouping well. Accuracy was good enough for SD and I hope IDPA. It did have NO failures of any kind though, I was happy about that. I have pinkeye right now and couldn't see real well. Hopefully my marksmanship will improve when it gets healed up.

Here are some targets. This one is resting my elbows on the table for 2 mags.

Here is a comparison between my Star Model 30 9mm and the M&P resting my elbows on the table.

The Boberg and the M&P Freehand.

I had the wobbles real bad tonite, so my marksmanship wasn't the best. All the targets were about 7-8 yards.

Are they shotguns?

Kidding, kidding... couple flyers but doesn't look too bad to me, what are your thoughts?

I was hungry had the pinkeye and a sinus infection, and had the wobbles real bad, so my offhand shooting wasn't too good. I thought my groups from rest weren't too bad, except with the Boberg, it just doesn't group tight with it's heavy DAO trigger pull. I was pleased with the performance of both guns. I may run some lead handloads through the M&P and see if the groups tighten up, that has worked on other nines we've tried it on. I was really pleased with the sight picture on the M&P with that green fiber optic sight, and a very low, 4-5 pound trigger pull. Very light for a DAO pistol. It may just need to have a bunch of rounds down range to tighten up the groups. I'll just keep practicing with it and see if it gets better, if not I'll try the lead reloads. When I braced my arms on the table, the groups tightened up pretty well, to about a 3 inch group. I'll have to go back when I'm feeling better and can see better. The Boberg shoots much softer than you would think it would for it's size. I was really pleased with it. Accuracy was good enough for a SD situation. It's sure not a target pistol though, and I don't think it was meant to be one.
Oh I did take my new S&W 686 6" .357 and shot it at 15 yards offhand and that was a terrible grouping. I guess this just wasn't my night to be shooting. But I wanted to get the Boberg broke in a little so I could start carrying it. I usually like to have at least a couple hundred rounds downrange before I carry, but this will just go to places I probably won't need it until it gets another hundred rounds through it. The longer FMJ bullets would hang up if I didn't rack the slide vigoursly to load the chamber and it kind of a bear to get it unjammed. Had no problems with the shorter Hyrdra Shoks though. Just have to remember to give the slide a good yank when chambering FMJ. Was the pistol worth $945.00? Yeah, I think so, given it's small size and concealibility. A 9mm +P in a 380 sized package. Fits in my front pocket just fine, with or without a holster. The trigger pull is heavy enough I don't worry about it like I would a PM9 without a holster. I've been carrying it at appendix position in a remora holster, or slip the remora and pistol in my pocket if it will fit. Heavy trigger pull or not, I still prefer a holster in a gun with no manual safety. Dang, that was my first trip to the indoor range since before thanksgiving. I need to get out and practice a LOT more. Gonna give IDPA a try, that will get me shooting more. I have guns for 4 of the 5 pistol classes. All the semi classes, and 1 of the revolver classes. Not going to go buy a revolver with moon clips to compete in the other revolver class.
