My oldest son and I both purchased CW9's last week and got to take them to the range on Sunday.

Very impressed. Each chewed through over 200 rounds of super-cheap break-in ammo with no FTFs or FTEs. I had one problem but it was a bad bullet casing. Once I ejected that, the rest fired with no problems.

Accuracy? Well, let's just say we need to get used to that trigger. My best was only 3 shots in the same hole :D but I did that several different times - good luck at it's finest. Other than those, most everything stayed on the paper plate targets.

MUCH better than the Keltec PF9 that it replaced. I could only put about 25 rounds through that before my hand started hurting. No problems with the CW9.

This is his first firearm although he's shot several of my other weapons in the past. The DAO trigger will take some getting used to, but by the end of the day both he and his wife were mostly on target.

All-in-all a good day breaking in the guns. I'm going to do some wall-drills this week and see if I can stabilize my hand with the DAO for better accuracy.

Sounds like you picked a pair of winners there. The trigger does take a little getting used to if you are switching from a S/A semi-auto. The CM9 wasn't designed for target shooting, but mine will shoot inside of 3" at 21'. Very accurate for a self-defense pistol.

Welcome to KahrTalk. Contiued good luck with those CW9s.

It is especially nice to read that you're shooting with one of your sons and your daughter in law.

Thanks all. We actually had the whole crew out there. Me, my wife, our oldest son and his wife, our youngest son, youngest son's girlfriend and also his best friend. Between all of us we probably brought 20+ guns.

Luckily we were the only ones on this particular range. Everyone had a good time.

Getting used to that new trigger just gives you a good excuse to shoot more. It was the same for me. Over time (and ammo costs) the CW9 got used to me and decided to just settle down and put the bullets where I asked it to. Pretty nice of Kahr to make a gun like that.

Also know that when you hit 400-500 round mark, the trigger just kinda settles in where it is suppose to be. Maybe it's the gun, maybe it's not... but I found that to be true on 4 different Kahrs.
Congrats
