Getting ready to order my first Kahr, a CM9, and was wondering which holster and where you carry it makes for the easiest/fastest draw. Oklahoma is trying to pass legislation that will allow Permit Carriers to openly carry their weapons so may be able to carry it strapped down on my hip, well probably not really but with all the home break-ins that have been happening will be good option when going to the door.

Crossbreed makes some excellent holsters.
You could probably go with a remora as well.
Be careful practicing the "fast draw" There have been many folks
blowing a toe off in the process.

Don't go to the door, go to the window first. If you are concerned, keep the gun in your shooting hand behind you when you answer the door. If it is an "all clear" just drop it in your back pocket.
Public open carry can be a issue as it is telling all you have a gun on you. It causes a variety of concerns for the general population and can actually make you a better target for robbery. I, for one, want no one to be aware of that fact I am armed at all times. My 2¢
For concealed carry, AIWB is the fastest to access. You may or may not be able to carry that way depending on your body.
Strong side IWB is probably next fastest, then pocket, then Ankle.
I've never carried cross draw or SOB, no comments on that.

Here is a belt holster designed for fast draw as the name implies.

Looks like a cut down pancake holster to me.

Choose what is comfortable for you because if you are not comfortable, you will not carry it. I agree that it is best to keep it concealed for many reasons.

I mostly carry IWB and tucked for concealment, but even if open were allowed here I'd still carry IWB simply for retainment. Any time you carry OWB set for fast response without a latch you are asking for an unarmed bad guy to grab it and do damage.
If I were to decide to carry open it would be the Garrett STX Auto (http://garrettindustries.mybigcommerce.com/silent-thunder-stx-auto/). I tried one but it didn't conceal enough with my large 1911 for my tastes. But trying it I got to check it out and really like the retention device that springs unlocked with a lever that is apparent in the pics in the link above.

When I go to the door the gun is in my hand. Can't be too careful.

IMO do not carry open carry, ur just asking for issues. doesln't matter what OKie passes. business can still dictate and u will not like the results. let alone all the people giving u the evil eye. carry concealed, Fast draw is not "dodge city", elimate of surprise is what u have over the BG. If he sees u carrying, then IMO u loose that edge. Pesonbally I\
feel the cm9 is a true pocket gun, and that is certainly not a fast draw area no matter what pocket rig u choose, but u will carry it 24/7. That is the key IMO. I have carried for over 5 years in my jeans with a desantis and also a uncle Mikes #3 rig. works great, no one knows u got it. I serioulsy doubt if needed a "fast" DRAW thing is going to save ones life. aqccuracy is the important thing and also a gun that goes bang every damn time. My two cents,
Ifyou are going to open carry, the Safariland ALS holsters cannot be beat for retention and speed of draw. I prefer the SLS+ALS, but do not know if they make it in a non-duty holster.

Like newcomer, Jocko, I prefer pocket-carry for my CM9, using a DeSantis Nemesis holster. Not sure what you mean by "quick-draw", but I can retrieve my CM9 from my front left pocket in a second if needed. :D

Thanks for all the information and advice. Have no intention of ever carrying openly. So far no door intruder problems in our small town but being only 120 miles from 3 different large cities that have had these problems I figure it is coming.
To save a lot of wasted time and money I just wanted to know what past experience from the experts found the holster that worked the best for easy reach.
Will see how the gun feels when I get it.

I fear the open carry "push" from some of the gun owners will ultimately hurt my right to CCW.
When the non-shooting, voting public begins seeing armed people all around, they could vote again........ for NO carry of guns.
In Calif, they have all but outlawed any carry, after a few folks decided to show off their "rights" in group settings
