You know I wear a Mernickle PS6 OWB every day. It's my favorite holster. Someday I hope to get what they call the Texas Barbecue rig. It's what Bob Mernickle wears himself.
They sure make some cool stuff. I need a version of that Mares Leg rig that goes from ankle to knee. Sitting it just won't work hanging from the hip.

Thanks for posting that, I hadn't seen that set up.

He does have molds for Kahrs too if anyone would like one. I'll have one for my PM45 some day too.

Hey Bawanna, better not let SHMBO see this

"The “Companion” is a fully smooth lined holster with a Swede lined belt." quote from the description.

Somehow I didn't think that you were planning to carry that mares leg IWO. I'd bet that the missus would be willing to buy you that rig for your birthday rather than seeing you reaching into your waist band all of the time. :)

Bawanna, you might also want to check "El Paso Saddlery", http://www.epsaddlery.com/ ; you can customize the holster when you order it and the quality and finish are excellent. I see in your signature that you have at least one 1911; the Tom Threepersons is a great holster … and it looks great as well along with a blued Government :D (only my subjective opinion).

Ya know, Pardner, in the younger days folks attached their long guns to the saddle. Can't you do the same since that's where you stay? If concealment is an issue, I bet Ron would cook up a special just for you. Picture a enclosed box with a spring loaded front opening that also presents it forward so you don't have to draw it. The closed top protects it from the elements and curious eyes. Now how cool is THAT!!!!

My wheels are turning on some sort of chair mount. Make it look like something it's not. Maybe an oxygen tank or a colostomy bag. Beware the derelict with a love for all things that go bang.

I think I would like to take a crack at that!

Now, Bawanna, you need a power chair with knobby tires and high ground clearance for super maneuverability, and powered up to go 25 m.p.h. With your onboard armory, you'd be able to go on the offensive and catch the BGs, or outrun trouble if prudence tells you to. :behindsofa:

I think a fake oxygen tank with top that flips open revealing a mortar launcher would be great. You could use it to launch a capture net that would also taze the perp. Imagine a BG laying on the ground all tangled up in a tazer net and peeing all over himself! :spider: It could be hinged at the bottom for range adjustment and you'd steer the chair to aim it. Edit: you could mount it on a ball joint and not have to move the chair as much to aim it. It would lean slightly backward with an easily loosened latch to release it for use.

There was a pic in another thread here showing Bawanna's chair mounted on a track chassis. I had seen the same tracks on a robot device and at the time thought what a kick for Bawanna to take into the woods for a stroll.

That looks exciting.

They had a track mounted chair at the Sportsman Show I went to Sunday. Pretty cool setup. Everything has a price both money wise and logistically.
They are unbelievable expensive. Being high they are hard to get in and out of and the biggest negative is if I get out there on my stroll and get that bad boy stuck. I'm in deep do do with a capital D.

I use my outside electric chair (isn't that descriptor kind of scary, Electric Chair! Yeah honey I'm gonna ride the lighten in old sparky) like a tank. It's nice to get around in.

Ron, I didn't make the connection when you said I'd like to take a crack at it, silly me, my first thought was this guy wants to take on a mad man in a wheelchair, sometimes simple things have a hard time getting into my limited brain capacity.
I'd love to work with you on something. A scabbard of some sort that I could easily transfer from chair to chair. Leather lined kydex like Silent Thunder material would be perfect. Gentle on the gun, brutally tough on the outside.

Maybe you could teach me and put me to work, research and development specializing in all things derelict. I'm about used up on police work and ready for a change of location too. I'd be like a good Labrador. Salute you when you pass, bring the morning java, and I'm house trained too.

Bawanna, a better term is power chair. That takes the imagination in a different direction, like you become Superman when you sit in it! :)
