How do you get the sights off the slide of a CM9 without marking them up? Do I need a special tool?

Thanks for the help guys.

Good advice from Sir TucsonMTB:)

I find masking tape is your friend.
The front sight will just snap off. Tape around it and use pliers to snap it off: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnkR6mHXJC8

Then punch the remaining parts of the pins out of the slide:

Same thing on the rear, tape off the sight...

....a sight pusher is nice, but for removal a brass punch and hammer will get the job done:

I use PB Blaster on the rear sight the night before removing it, but here's an alternative method: http://kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?t=10192

Not long, not really needed.

The STURDY smooth jaw vice IS needed... thats the key.
