Black slide, worth it?

Hi,

LGD/friend recommended I buy the Black slide version of the PK9? Is it worth the extra $50? Will it show less wear for example than the SS? Is this back a simple finish or a treatment into the metal similar to melonite?

Thanks for your help and I probably have bunch more questions to come.:D

Welcome to the forum. I have the DLC finish you are referring to on a couple of Kahrs. I simply bought that version because I like black guns over the two tone types. Over time I have to think the black will show more wear than SS, although mine are fine now, so IMO the real question is your preference. If you like the look of the SS, then it's not worth the $, but if you prefer all black it is.
